Well Washington gets to waste next season also by bringing in a new coach with a new system that won’t fit the existing line up.
This current team would have been just fine with Trotz for another two years at least.

So the guy owns the Wizards and the Capitals, the Caps win the Stanley Cup and Trotz is regarded as top 1-5 coach almost every year but he won’t pay him...... he pays the Wizards coach $7 million a year lol

I heard the Caps wanted him out and were complete dbags to him his final year. It was known they weren’t bribing him back. Then he won the cup and they were like oh, you Dan stay if you want... because there was an extension clause for winning the cup. But Trotz was like FU.

This is a perfect example of underachieving Stars costing a Coach. Reirden is an outstanding Coach. But makes an amazing scapegoat.
