It does and it doesn’t, bc our players are still worth something. I think Pitt just made a huge mistake. - nyrangers9479
Was Kapernan the last top 25 guy the Pens have picked!?
I think I heard they've had like two in the past 8 years or so |

No bueno
Their scouts better have hit it big with the other rounds.
Obviously, Geuntzel |

Not sure it's that no one thinks he isn't needed/wanted. It's more a combination of cap constraints and selling high from a position of depth when you can. If Kapanen got the #15 overall pick TDA must have value even as an RFA. |

He's earned a spot to play on an NHL team. I'd like him here too, but if Gorton sees fit to move him, and return is fair, then so be it.
NYR can simply qualify him or give him a million $$ or so raise for next year. Either way DeAngelo can accept it, play his assss off and get a monster deal next year anywhere he wants or reject the offer and sit on his hands. Either way, it's up to him. Don't think it's wise to offer him a long term deal.....yet. worst case is that he kills it on a one year deal, and forces NYR to make a much bigger decision when he's a UFA.
He's not Brian Leetch for God's sake.
NYR will still be kicking ass soon enough, with or without him |

Is it interesting, every time playoffs roll around, it’s players like Blake Coleman do damage. Can’t say enough about the importance of the bottom six to able to grind Effectively. |

Tampa certainly paid a high price for him, giving up their 2019 first rounder (Nolan Foote) and the first rounder that they got from Vancouver for JT Miller
but Coleman's cap hit of 1.8 mil this year and next was gold for them

He is also a very underrated player. He just seems to make stuff happen, he isnt the most skilled guy but he can score and he works his ass off all over the ice. He plays like Nemchinov.

Plus their addition of Barclay Goodrow. The line of Goodrow, Coleman and Yanni Gourde may be Tampa's most effective trio the post-season. |

if they don't win this series though, they threw an awful lot of draft capital around to be a 2nd round ouster
I still think Bruins are taking that series |

First time I saw that phrase is on a delicious imperial stout. Told my daughter about it and she said I should never say that again. |
