Honestly I wanted to move on for purely selfish reasons. Politics is kinda my jam and it’s hard for me to just let things go unchecked. If anyone ever wanted to have a (mostly) respectful conversation outside of HB about that poop I’d be down as hell - picklerick
Well thats it, people could PM each other or whatever, its just that it always devolves into insults plus this is a hockey forum. Has anyone ever changed their mind about politics from a message board anywhere. I would rather smash my nuts with a tack hammer |

I actually agree with you on this, if Tony was spouting lefty stuff I think you would be consistent.
But I'm done with this blog - mdw7413
Absolutely right
And the actual “lefties” who who fights with all the time on twitter that are Ranger fans actually want him gone and it effects how they feel about him as a hockey player.
I’ve never once said I want Tony D gone
I want our best offensive defenseman since Brian Leetch to worry about hockey and nothing else. |

Totally legitimate argument
If Tony was blogging about videogames and pissing people off I would say he should just worry about hockey.
To me this has nothing to do with politics |

Jerk.
From a purely hockey and $ perspective. I think we could benefit from moving Tony in a package for a 2C (more like a 1B to Mika’s 1A). We have so much offense/skill even without him and we don’t want to pay Strome for 7 years |

Agreed. AD, Buch and other 1st rounder would bring back a huge haul.
Unfortunately, NYR has to decide it ADA is going to be able to repeat this past season, his best by far. Not sure if they are convinced he can |

Even if he could you’re infusing the team with one or both of Miller and Lundkvist on the back end and Laf on the wing. Fox enters his second year and is already better than Tony D will ever be on the defensive and IQ end and will in all likelihood become at least as good in the offensive zone (he’s close already). Tony is redundant and expensive |

Get were you are coming from but I would keep Tony, as long as the demands are reasonable, good right hand defenseman seem to be really hard to find and go for top dollar when they are available. If we did trade Tony, have to move Smith back to the right side and hope Nils is ready after next year |

Why do liberals always prove intolerant of a person's own political beliefs if it differ's with their's???? Don't you realize that this is FASCISM!! This is exactly how 1935 Germany was, that I know because I was told by a German survivor from the death camp, God rest her soul. The reliving of history is happening now! - HenryHockey
Try to think of it like parenting. You teach your kids right from wrong but when they act like dumbasses sometimes you get frustrated.
And incidentally that’s not what fascism is at all. Fascism is specifically far right authoritarian and nationalistic government. It’s almost the polar opposite of liberalism. The intolerance is just intolerance and guess what; everyone is somewhat intolerant of others political beliefs. Using dictator like power to suppress and control people is Fascist. |

He'll be asking for at least 6 per, and justification will be he's a top 5 scoring dman in league. He won't be lying |
