Whats the christmas tree and reindeer for? Do they have an abundance of them in Montreal? - mdw7413
As long as it has the open arse chaps in the back I am cool with the reindeer |

There are folks in Montreal who still think they should get first dibs on any Quebecois players. - BINGO!
Never saw that, but I don't think we needed more reasons to be hated. Thanks man. |

I had same thought when I saw the clips of Hayton and Lafreniere playing together at the WJC's |

Dude, just knock it off and talk hockey, you are just being a Richard now to try to start an argument with someone - mdw7413 I am not, but OK... Trade the little idiot. Use the money on someone with more rounded skills and a brain. Better? |

That is what I was just watching. Thinking to myself that I am hearing Hayton's name a lot. |

So, Barrett Hayton.
ADA is useless in this scenario for obvious reasons (he got shipped out of there)
Buchnevich, next years first (Protected) and some other picks/prospects? Too much? |

I would think they consider Hayton untouchable
he's their #1 center as soon as this coming season I think, they are going to unload Stepan |

What do the Leafs need to trade for DeAngelo?
Top 9 wingers:
Kapanen ?
Johnsson ?
Kerfoot ?
Nylander ? - mr.sir
Toronto doesn't need DeAngelo.
They already had him and called him Gardiner. Then they dumped him and brought him back under the name Barrie. |

I know, but he brings some other things to the table. He is a vet and well respected. He is like a younger less successful Joe Thornton. |

I don't know about you guys but I think overpaying for Barrett Hayton could be worth it. Could be looking at the next Brayden Point.
Not saying management would even consider it but I can dream. |

I think I'd do it if any attempts for better moves dont happen
like right after this season is over and the short offseason gets under way and the very first thing we do is acquire Derek Stepan, that would annoy me
if they they dont do too much and training camp starts and then they acquired him at that point I'd be like, oh ok |

Yeah, plus just one season left on his contract. If he does well you bring him back cheap/short term. |

Buchnevich, Carolina first, next years first (protected) Nils Lundkvist and the Rangers take back Stepan(salary retained).
You can send Strome into the sun and you have two C's coming back into the lineup. Stepan is a shutdown C with scoring ability. |

I want the Rangers to take Lafrenière. Anything else will be a letdown. - JRR1285
100% agree. I want Laf and Kakko for 15 years, like Malkin and Crosby. Like towes and Kane. I want to see their whole careers played in NY and winning a couple of cups

The only issue in this scenario is neither being a C. |
