So much for all that confidence. This is a serious wake up call for the coaches and players.

It seemed everything Canucks were doing just wasn't working out and VGK were getting the bounces going there way. They put the pressure on and it escalated.

Again, VGK have been doing this to the Canucks before and are on top of their game. The Canucks can only improve from here and have the time to figure how to execute better. Though they need player changes.

It's hard to be after that beat down.
I know some in here will somehow find a silver lining or moral victory.

Silver lining: after that beating, we will see what kind of moxy the team has, or if they just go quietly into the night

I'm with you on pulling LE out of the line up. ZacMac can score as much or more, is faster and can play physical.

I have little faith that the Canucks can win this series but they can do much better than last night.

LE is a good defensive player against a team like the Blues, where being smart and in the right place at the right time is important. Against Vegas, he's just too slow physically to be at the right place. 1/2 of the Canucks bottom 6 are.

Hearing the NHL and PA have had preliminary talks about next season. One proposal is to create 4 bubble cities, and rotating all 31 teams in those venues in 8 game increments.

At present, there’s no indication if all the cities would be in Canada.

But makes the most sense.

I don't care what cities but was more thinking that means a 32 game schedule. I also wonder how long players will have to be away from families. Pro rating existing salaries and new contract offers.

They've talked about wanting a full season. Don't see any reason they wouldn't stick to that. 8 game increments might just mean a lot of moving around to fill out the 82 games.

I don't see many players agreeing to an 82 game bubble

8 game increments I thought meant to reduce travel between bubbles but still have full season. They can start in a bubble like conditions but maybe they hope that at some point in season things return to normal (vaccine). Though I doubt that would occur so quickly.

As for families its get paid or stay at home. Many people have had to make sacrifices to adjust to new norms. I don't see a scenario where kids/spouses can be included in the bubbles too. Unless they accept to be cut off from outside contact with homeschooling/work and stay in hotels as well. That one though would be a massive extra cost and undertaking not only for the players but personnel and staff associated with each team.

It was a pretty quick turnaround from beating the Blues to diving into the deep end with Vegas. They looked tired and a little emotionally spent, aside from Roussel. There should have been an extra time in between for winning in 6. Not one day. Hope they can recover and bring a little more than they did game 1, but I don't really blame them for being flat.

Yeah... remember Sutter interview prior to game saying would have been better to have an extra day off to heal. I know Edler after the game played down having low energy levels saying they are in shape. However it seemed it was the mental energy that was lacking as you say emotionally spent. Plus that one day off the Canucks used to rest while the VGK practiced how to beat the Canucks. it showed with how they got to QH et al.

That would be huge though no one is expecting them ready for Tuesday. The one thing Green can do after a huge loss is inject some energy from the other guys that are well rested.

Fatty looked like he was having problems out there give him a mental rest add in OJ. Obviously LE out for ZacMac though can we add in Bailey for one of Roussel/Beagle/Sutter. This is the time after a pasting for Green to be bold.
