I think because of his contract they'll try to move him. He's been great, I've quite enjoyed his leadership and commitment to the team, but with the cap and wanting to resign TT, something has to give.

Plus, he has value right now. Sell high. Gaud will get better in the dot, and they have JTM, Bo, and Beagle til then.

Between Sutter and Beagle....Sutter is a better player, Jay Beagle can kick rocks, he’s not needed here.

Love it, because it pushes Boeser down to Horvat's line, and he’s become somewhat of a passer instead of a shooter, Bo Horvat is not a great passing center, he needs a passing winger.

It gives the team two legit scoring lines

Canucks got their poop handed to them in the second. Need to play better than that – might have to have a strategy change that with the long change to the bench, just aerial passes out and make sure you're not caught. With Vegas' speed it made for a constant pressure situation.

The shot clock was very lopsided, but unlike the first game I felt the Canucks held them to the outside a lot more. Read that the high danger chances/shots were tied 14 each. Canucks just converted on theirs

- NewYorkNuck

Even in the second I thought the Canucks had the better looks despite Vegas owning the puck. It’s hard to tell with Markstrom though, when he’s on he makes hard saves look routine.

Dubas went on to say that he isn't done dealing, and they are looking for another "Jake Muzzin"

Yup, but Sutter has value and a 1.3 mill bigger cap hit. Easier and less expensive to move him out.

He kinda did what a 9 or 10 minute third liner is expected to do. Defensively didn’t allow any goals and gave the first two lines a breather. Got in on the forecheck a few times.
- Pacificgem

I didn't see any huge mistakes but I though he looked scared to get involved until the third period.

I am not trying to make a big issue of this but Jake has had better games. The fact that your #6 pick is getting 10 minutes a night while being outscored , out hit , out hustled , and out played by the smaller Tyler Motte who got 16 minutes last night should send up flags to Jake.

They're going to go after him hard I think. Will be an anchor of a contract in years 4-7, but will definitely boost their team.

He played more minutes than Brock last night. I think fans are hoping he is gone but I doubt it that he is. Green loves him.

I think Rielly Muzzin Pitrangelo would be a pretty damn good D core . Holl is also decent plus the Swede they just got Sandin and their prospect Lilgegren . We can joke but that is pretty solid.

Stecher had a solid game last night . Hughes looked a little overwhelmed last night even though it is his first year and he should be able to handle all situations

Sounds like you’re still caught up in the fact he was 6th overall, he is what he is, people expecting him to suddenly become anything more than a tweener are setting themselves up for disappointment.

He’s a third/fourth line forward, and a good one at that. He doesn’t kill penalties so ya he won’t get total ice time like Motte will.

I wouldn’t mind seeing some of the younger guys getting a chance, but I do think Tanev has been fantastic for the Canucks all year.
