I have very low expectations for him . He may never come here or he could be part of a trade.
I am just not sure what they will do or if they do anything at all. Until he is not property of Canucks there is always possibilities.
Sven and Tryamkin to the Habs for a fourth - VANTEL
I think Podz and Tree will be heading to the Canucks together at the end of their seasons in KHL. It will be easier for Podz to fit in and Tree won't feel so much of an outsider. Podz's work ethic may rub off on Tree.
As for what they bring in their game at the very least it is size and strength. Both have unique skill sets lacking on the Canucks team so its an improvement. Where it goes is up to them. |

: Tyler Toffoli is really in day-to-day mode. I've been told he'll skate today with the main group in the gameday skate, which is huge. That pretty much tells you he's turning a corner and seeing progress
- NewYorkNuck
If he's skating with the main group then just maybe could it be that Green keeping his cards to himself deals the ace and TT replaces useless LE tonight?

Would trade Gino, keep Sid. - NewYorkNuck
Sid could win five more cups if he was traded to the right team. I’d ask him is it more important for you to challenge yourself, and win, or to play your whole career for one team?
Podkolzin, Hoglander, Joulevi, 2021 first and 2021 second for Sid the Kid. |

That actually is very interesting. Especially with the 2021 draft class. |

I assume the Pens break the rules and are retaining 87% of his cap hit? |

Why? No cap issues to see here. |

The cap isn't an issue. They will be compliant. |

The TOR/PIT trade marked the 10th time a 2020 first round pick has been traded.

Or they don't see it as one. A lot of kids missed a lot of development, and may miss more due to COVID. |

Feel like PIT wants to make a run for another couple of years and then is planning to suck/tank hard after that. Whichever picks during the next 2 drafts and current prospects they have are probably all on the table for affordable help to win now.
But man if they had some patience, I bet they would've been offered better players for that 15th overall + solid prospect package. Trading that package for a middle 6 winger during a year when some teams will be aggressively looking to shed salary seems like jumping the gun. |

Kapanen is 24 years old , very fast , probably gets 50 pts playing top 6 , and brings immediate help at a reasonable cost for the 15 th OA

Agree stupid move by Pens lets Dubas have some breathing room. October to November is going to be a go nuts time. Everyone will be making moves for multiple reasons from expansion draft concerns to cap crunch and trying to shed real $ on Covid effected market. |

Very good point. Maybe time to have JB not recoup draft picks and concentrate on keeping known talent. |

Dubas has already said they are willing to move that pick for the right deal.

I'm starting to think the best move for Van next year would be to pay Seattle a draft pick/prospect so that they take one of the bad contracts in expansion.
Getting rid of Beagle would be great. Exposing Myers could also be a good option. |
