I don't agree about Patrick at all. He obviously has the skill to play in this league, and I think his Migraine issues will be solved and he will have a long career. - MBFlyerfan
We also don't know if Morin is a true bust. He was always going to be a slow developer. He's had two major knee injuries. Who could've predicted that?

I agree he is capable of playing in this league. They knew about his possible issues and still took him. If he does come back then I would reevaluate my statement. As it stands right now he is a miss with an unclear future. - mickel25
Did they?
And being a migraine sufferer myself, even if they did, once its gotten under control, you can live a normal life. |

And hopefully they are able to do the same with Patrick. |

TOR D prospect Jesper Lindgren also going to PIT. Sounds like a first-rounder is key part of return. TOR clearing space |

Agree, he’s a third line center right in the NHL but he may never play again, we don’t know. Anyone of Pettersson, Makar or Heiskanen would have been better. The rankings said pick Patrick though. |

No matter how you try to rationalize it he is a bust. Regardless of the reasons or circumstances. |

Well, they did draft Kapanen (after Sanheim...does Hexy gets crushed for that, too?) so I guess he is going to play for them eventually.
Edit:
Details for Penguins:
RW Kasperi Kapanen
D Jesper Lindgren
LW Pontus Aberg
Maples Leafs getting:
2020 Rd 1 pick (15 overall)
LW Evan Rodrigues
C Filip Hallander

Why stop at 10? Giroux will live well into his 80's. Why not like 30-35 straight. Prove me wrong!!!! |

I am very confident they can. I feel like if they werent being extra careful, he would be playing right now.

Come on, he's not Jagr. Capping this at 26 straight. MAYBE they lose one in there somewhere, but unlikely. |

I think everyone needs to calm down and take the emotion out of it. We lost 5-0 to Montreal too, it’s one game. Yeah our first line guys need to produce but AV is a great coach and they’ll make adjustments to their game-plan. |

Pretty much. Aberg and Rodriguez cancel each other out (Aberg probably a bit better). Hallander was a 2nd rounder and put up decent (not great) points int he SHL. |

That’s 3.2 million off the books, only another 7 million to go before they get some flexibility |

That's the way the Isles play. They lock down the middle of the ice and keep you to the outside. Unless you create transition offense off of turnover and create some odd man rushes, that's what you're looking at. That's why Gostisbehere is so important to staying in the lineup. He is very good at that. Otherwise you have to get traffic at the net and pucks at the net from where ever you can. If Varlarmov has clear sight lines, he's going to make the saves. - MJL
Exactly, there is a reason the Caps looked terrible. The Isles are the best team in the league at making you look bad, Columbus is similar. The key is getting some confidence, put a couple in and we may ignite. Laughton and Couturiere really need to get involved. Aubel-Kabel was looking good but he looks like a minor leaguer last few games and the biggest dissapointment has to be Giroux, he is a step behind on every play causing shots to be blocked and passes deflected. Hopefully more energy tomorrow and Thusrday. |

I thought the same thing. They have three d-men to sign and $9mil in space to do it. More moves are coming for the Leafs |

Back read not worth the effort today.
Forwards Couturier, Konecny and Giroux must produce points and play defense well within the Flyers system. Depth scoring has been a strength all season and can’t stop now.
Watching for it in game 2.
Let’s go Flyers! (I love that when I type “let’s,” my tablet immediately suggests “go Flyers.” Makes me smile.)
