yes he was. And assuming Kahun does exactly what Reinhart does, and maybe better, is just that. An assumption.
- TheSabresTaco

Its like, you can have both of them.

Or is that not an option becuase most Sabres cant see that having more than 1 player is a good thing.

So because Panarin is amazing and Kubalik is a very good player means Kahun is some hockey deity.

Cool. (frank)ing. Story.

- TheSabresTaco

I flagged this post because Kahun is really solid and he was a solid find by a misunderstood cap genius

- gerbe75pts

yet you think Miller was an outstanding goalie, using the same logic

and Kahun is going to be better than him who has never hit 40 points. Kahun has only hit 30 points once, so hes a 20 point winger.

I don't mean to share the impression that I don't like Kahun. I do. I think he's a nice player and I think he has more to give.

I also believe their play styles are similar, just by watching and not reading the stats.

But that article still does not prove to me that he will outperform Reinhart on any level if given Reinhart's minutes. And it does not prove to me that he will make Jack better.

Also the Pegulas literally had to sue the federal government to get their head British trainer a green card. They spent cash on that for sure

Sure hes good, we think. He may very well be a 30-40 point guy and this could be his plateau.

Also, You CAN HAVE BOTH PLAYERS ON YOUR TEAM.

“ Although Kahun’s point totals have not been anything spectacular to this point, the way he goes about acquiring them has a striking similarity to Sam Reinhart. Reinhart is poised to anchor the top-line right-wing slot for seasons to come. Kahun’s ability to play a similar style will make him useful on the second line. Looking at their impacts at five-on-five according to Evolving-Hockey illustrates this.

First off, their shot rates are very similar. For every hour on the ice, Reinhart averages 53.6 shot attempts for and 51.98 against for a difference of 1.62. Kahun averages 52.35 attempts for and 50.32 against for a difference of 2.03.

When it comes to how they attack the zone, both go about it the same way. In terms of the quality of chances they generate, Reinhart has an expected goals rate of 2.04 per hour with a 9.93 shooting percentage. Kahun has an expected goals per hour rate of 2.2 with a 10.57 shooting percentage. They may not generate scoring chances in bulk, but they cash in on what they do create.

A final area where Kahun and Reinhart are similar is in their point production rates. Reinhart produces 2.344 points per hour while Kahun averages 2.409. The only difference is in how they’re used. While Reinhart gets premier ice-time on the top line, Kahun has seen similar deployment to Kyle Okposo. No doubt with increased opportunity Kahun’s point totals will continue to rise.”

I'll just say that I love Kahun and am excited to see what he can do.

They are similar shooters, Sam is the better playmaker. That's the difference. I am very, very high on Kahun and if you want to put Sam at 2RW, him there, to even out the lines, I am okay with it.

The only thing I disagreed with was when they said Sam got top line minutes and Kahun got treated like Okposo.

In Chicago, Kahun played with Toews, Debrincat and Saad most of the time. In Pitt, he was with Malkin a lot. He's got his chances to shine. He's a good player.

So you're including his developmental seasons to define the player Sam Reinhart will become in the future, even though evidence shows within the past 2, what could be considered pre-prime years, he hit and on pace'd for 60.

And he's 2 years younger than Kahun who's apparently scoring more than Reinhart.

One has been in the NHL for 2 years the other has been in NHL for 6 years and is finally going to get a top 6 role so I'll trust The person that has 30 points right now

Kyle Okposo did it, wait no that didnt work
Matt Molson did it, wait that didnt work
Connor Sheary did it, nope that didnt work either
Jimmy Vesey didnt really work their either.

Seems that its proving to be very difficult to find a winger to have chemistry with Jack.

It also seems everyone fails to mention Reinharts 40 assists.

- ImThatGuy

Ek9 did it
36 year old pommer did it
Olloffson did it

Those 4 bums you mentioned above, cant play with or without eichel. They all basically suck.

See the difference?
