What happens to the average joe ? On top of record high unemployment and stifling debt your $USD is getting devalued by the second and your standard costs of living are about to go up roughly 10% per year as the Fed tries to inflate all of the debt away.

They have to take some of the blame for how people think of them and act around them. Look at Murder rates, Crime Rates, look at population areas in different city's and the crime and death rates. I don’t believe it’s as prevalent up here as it is in the U.S. however it’s impossible to know forsure.

I wouldn’t say this country is as easy to govern though considering the destruction Trudeau has done.

I think democracy is doing more damage than good this century as these parties now just exist to dethrone the other and the only people that suffer are the people everyone whom everyone swears to protect (the middle class).

We have Fox News in Canada but it isn't watched by many. Most Canadians get turned off by the vitriol that emanates from that network.

We have racism here but it's nothing like the States. We never had slavery so that type of history isn't ingrained in our society. In general, most Canadians are welcoming of all people. It doesn't matter where you come from, the color of your skin or if you go to church or not. In general, pretty chill.

An observation from the Great White North. You guys seem to genuinely hate each other and you can't talk to each other. No room for compromise by either side. For the most part, Canadians are either center-left or center-right - with an emphasis on "center". We may disagree on policy but rarely is it personal like the way it is in the States. It's very sad to see. Half of my relatives are from western New York. Half of my cousins are Democrats and the other half are Republicans. They basically don't talk to each other anymore. I keep it neutral and only talk about the Sabres or Bills.

and there’s very ppl of color who are born into wealth, or who go to Harvard & become President

Funny how I have seen and heard of people taking the police exam, exam to be a CO, Fire Department and scoring very high only to be passed up because of minority hiring guidelines. Same with hiring at large corporations. My sister was the Equal Opportunity" coordinator for a very, very large company for 25 years...there was a premium place on hiring People of color, women and the perfect storm of women of color.
Add it all up...Large companies, Federal, State, County hiring.
