I don’t disagree. He’s been over played by every coach and I wouldn’t mind seeing a change of scenery, especially if In a package, he nets us a 2c.

But given the Ralph love and the Ralph power over roster decisions. I’m just not sure they trade him.

Which I think makes the lineup challenging. Because Risto isn’t a 1. Probably a decent 2nd pair guy. Which is where joker is in his development. That means you need to bring in a 1 Rd or force joker up early. And have a 5 mill 3rd. And are you really going to resign him when his contract is up...

The prudent and lean move is to sell Risto now. It looks like it’d be the best roster management. But this is the Buffalo Sabres we are talking about!
