We are far better off looking for defence than a 2C on the free agent market. We need a 2C at the Danault, Nugent Hopkins, Monahan, Logan Couture level to really take some pressure off Jack's line.

There are some labeling him as a hero, and there are crowdfunding campaigns that have raised more than enough to get him a high profile defense team. They already got the same lawyer who spearheaded the Nick Sandmann lawsuit against CNN and the Washington Post. When all is said and done with this case, which I doubt will be anytime soon, there are going to be some very upset people, regardless of the verdict.

To me, it sounds like a teenager who may or may not have had good intentions was way in over his head and ended up doing something incredibly stupid. There were supposedly more than a dozen of these so-called civilian armed militia at the location of these protests, but, from all accounts that I have read, he is the only one to fire off a shot, let alone wound or kill somebody. He may get off on self-defense by the letter of the law, which attorneys have already publicly come out and said they were going for, but it will be very hard to argue that he didn't go looking for trouble and found it.

You can't criticize Jacob Blake for putting unnecessarily putting himself in harm's way by not complying with police and not, at a minimum, criticize this kid for doing the same thing.
