But i think he takes a big step forward & is in the running the following year

Eichel- sell, but close
i think he’ll continue to improve, but i could see him missing the top5. Definitely top10 though. He was 10th this year, but all the guys ahead of him are really great players who all consistently score a lot
Could be tough for him to jump 5 guys

Risto & McCabe- sell
Ralph seems to like Risto, so i think Montour gets traded. And we’re already thin on the left side as far as moving McCabe goes. Both our goalies also said (in separate interviews) that McCabe is our best defenseman in our own end, so it seems he’s valued more than fans think.

Ullmark- depends what u mean?
I think he takes a step forward and could at least be a low end starter that can be paired with another goalie & we’ll be “ok”

I'll look for it .. But news came out 3 picks before us that the had a private meeting with Josh Allen only the owners were there And apparently he was number one on their draft board

If I recall correctly, that meeting was to gain clarification on racist comments Josh had made on Twitter (I think Twitter) several years before ... those comments conveniently came out like a day or two before the draft.
Point is, their Board was set, they identified who they wanted to trade up for ...then that news came out...owners wanted clarity before making a huge investment. Josh came out of it well, and the pick was made.
Does that mean it was Kerry and Tim's selection? Doubt it, but I do remember they were very active in meeting potential picks that year...and they like and approved of Josh being their QB prospect.

Kerry also commented that enjoyed being a part of the draft process and learned alot, gave his own feelings when asked, asked questions when he wanted clarification, but did not make suggestions.
