How am I rushing him, he played in the ECHL last year, know it's time to move up to the AHL and get your learning curve there.
- Buff36

Because he clearly wasn't ready for it and got smoked last year. Maybe he is ready. In the same way that Johannson is prolly ready for a shot at the NHL level. I just think having options in net is a good thing

So in essence it's 8=Monahan and 19=Montour. Cal wins the first part, and we win the second part badly at this point.
Still think Bennett could be had in the deal, and they prolly want a defensive prospect added. Would be a decent starting point for sure

- SDSabre

And then trade the 19th OA for a winger.

Honestly I'm surprised anyone would be reaching out for him. I mean he's a guy, but he's about to get passed by UPL. He's not a nothing but I'd be damn surprised if he's not replaceable by your standard NHL backups.

I agree with options, just think last year was getting his feet wet, now it's time to let him go, Rochester is gonna be a different team this year, from what Adam's has said they are gonna be used for what there purpose is, to get prospects ready to play at the next level.

I would have liked to see him get more of a shot last year. Hutton was down right horrible last year for a 3 month patch. Would have liked to see if Jonas could have gotten into a rhythm during that time. But if he can help get a stop gap 2C, Bye Bye.

I mean if you liked Ryan Miller he's on the same trajectory as him haha.

Amerks signed a kid named Ryan Jones from Nebraska-Omaha, 4th round pick of the Pens in 2016.

Leaves Hickey, Borgen, Nelson, Gilmour, Redmond, Bryson, Fitzgerald, Paetsch, Borgen, MacWilliam, Jones, Laaksonen, Spencer and Samuelsson. Imagine one or two of those go to Cincy, one or two vets get released. Borgen and Bryson get an actual chance to make the roster.

Not even close. Guys who play with injuries shouldn’t be sh!t on cause they are true pros and will always bounce back. You can see it is already happening with one former player. I think Bogo will get the last laugh and when and if they depart with Hutton it will come back to haunt them.
I think if a guy is out with a sprain for 6 or 7 weeks during crunch time that could be a time when fans have reason to think something is not right.

Took Miller (an undeniably better prospect by year 3) 5 years to be in the NHL full time. This is year 6 for Jonas. And he's about to be passed by a guy without a full Rochester season.

Jonas did pretty well in Rochester and I'd be pretty damn surprised if they sent one of them back to Cincy.

Do they want them splitting the crease? Are they just going to boot Jonas back to Cincy? Are they going to leave their best goalie prospect in Cincy for another year? Will they trade Jonas and sign a vet to back up and mentor UPL?

A lot to look at here, and if Jonas can pull in any kind of value, I think ya do it.

All this talk about having the 'right' guys, the right vets in Rochester, I'd actually place my bet on trading Jonas, unless he's ok with being in Cincy.

Sal Capaccio says Jason Croom's had a "very good" camp.

I await your unbiased response.

Lot of moving pieces for sure. If UPL falters is another thing to consider

I think the kid's got a lot of runway, they were quite impressed with his development last year.
