I bet under their breathe they are cussing out the BLM crusade. BLM thinks they are so special and demand everyone recognize their plight. BLM is going about solving their woes improperly.

Look here they are ignorant. .Myself and society know there are problems issues but do not interrupt societal operations because you feel entitled. .Meet with politicians lawyers and draw up some ideas to combat or reduce police brutality. Get your own people more interested in education, for example. Vouchers for poor from government to match or share tuition? Police sign brutality adherence to avoid it.

But interrupting professional games played is childsh immature.inappripiate and borders on desperate call for attention to their cause. BLM is calling out not only against unfairness and brutality but suffering from a case of a damaged psych.

Let us meet with them and work towards justification but also let's be real about canceling games.

Not to sound calluses but this all because a black man got shot did they report that he raped a 15 teen year old girl and was armed with a knife. Enough just giving in to their agenda which is ripping this country apart. I m all for justice and equality no matter the color of skin gender or ethnic backround. Nhl should keep going and if they or players want to make statement before the games then ok that flag that keeps getting poop is the reason we the people can speak freely.

I just hope that if crimminals loot and destroy property again ...police dogs turned loose and warning to shoot to kill just like 1968 Dem convention. Crimminals are destroying property, stealing, causing police OT and taxpayers will wind up paying for it. There are mature practical approach to their concern....this conduct has to end.

I’m watching NHL Network (I don’t have a life) and they seem to be thinking there isn’t an official announcement because they’re trying to figure out the scheduling.

Why? They’re at the point of playing only 2 games each day - one in each bubbly - why can’t they just double-shift for one day? No one knows how long these series’s I’ll go anyways - 5/6/7 games....

By the way, you probably won't be informed by the mainstream media, but the medical examiner in Minnesota determined George Floyd's death was due to drug overdose - not the cop kneeling on his neck. I mean the NBA clearly has chosen to use its platform for only certain social justice causes. They don't give an f*** about China or the grotesque human rights violations going on there. Instead Lebron goes out and says he can't comment b/c its not his country or culture, etc. Why don't they care? Because its about money and those human rights problems don't impact "their" community.

There is a problem so let's figure out how to solve it. Step 1 is changing how we train police because excessive use of force isn't just a black problem. It happens to all Americans far too often. We cannot ignore the other problem which is disobeying police officers commands, fighting police (including be tazered and still not listening).

NO this does not justify shooting someone in the back but I am almost certain the situation does not escalate if the person listens to police commands. There are always going to be bad apples, like the George Floyd cop, but for the love of god people listen to police commands, especially when you have a gun pointed at you.

I can also understand why black americans are scared because of the racism and police. I have friends that have been pulled over for being the wrong color in a neighborhood and had horrible encounters with police simply because of their skin color.

I'd be scared too but are you not scared or concerned about the 1000s that die each year from gun and gang violence. Apparently that isn't as big an issue? If we are counting based on lives it seems like it should be. Or is that ok because it is black on black crime?

Also institutional racism is a real thing. Anyone who doubts that just go watch a video about Redlining. There is a good one by NPR on Youtube. Its about 6-7 mins long.

If that's the standard the players are arguing for, I am out.

I read the Floyd document (the actual document filed with the court) earlier today, and it does say what you wrote here. Stuff is gonna get real when that officer is acquitted or the charges are dropped. We won't see hockey for years! Oh well.

Its the media only reports one side of the story so whoever controls the media controls the narrative. Did the media report that floyd was career criminal and during an home invasion beat the crap out of Latino pregnant mom who ended up emergency room. Or white man in texas who died due the same fatal kneeling of one cop no. This is all organized and put together for a purpose.
