maybe they can, and if that's the case, and Lundqvist retires too, then they sign a different vet to a 2 year deal to comply with expansion rules. - jimbro83
What was the original surgery for again? - mdw7413
Left shoulder, end of October, was to miss five months. Tarasenko has a history of shoulder issues, as he also underwent surgery following the 2017-18 season and played through an injury during the Blues' Stanley Cup run. Seems to be chronic and have to be concerned that the injury will keep repeating.

I obviously dont know him but I would not expect Hank to retire. I think he is more likely to waive his no trade clause. It seems to me, he thinks he still has gas left in the tank and wants to prove the Rangers wrong by them prematurely putting him out to pasture.

then the other option is to trade Georgiev and let Lundqvist finish his contract as Shesty's backup and be able to say goodbye
but it doesn't really solve our problem of not having a goalie to expose to Seattle
I think Tronna is setting up to throw a huge contract at pietrangelo. They’ll have to make moves, like trade Nylander, but they need a leader. He’s from there too.

Just a prediction - Slimtj100
Talk about a dumb contract. He's 30, not exactly the guy you look to lock up for 7 years.

Yeah, thats a tough one. Wonder if he will ever come back as the player he was.
if there is actually a lot of interest in Matt Murray as is being claimed, then maybe the interest in Georgiev will be higher
both of them are RFA's and need to be signed, but Georgiev should be a lot cheaper
although I still think Georgiev is a better backup for Shesterkin than Lundqvist - jimbro83
No doubt, but that decision pretty much falls on Hank's plans. Fortunately, there's a bunch of guys behind those three that can eventually take over the back up job (Wall, Huska, Olof).
he's already a UFA, they'd have to give him a 2 year deal now
it's possible - jimbro83
Before the last game of the Dallas series, I speculated that, in your scenario above, they might bring Talbot back on a 2 year deal. He'd be cheap, exposable, and obviously played his best working with Allaire. All depends on other moves.

Unsurvivable storm surge with large and destructive waves will cause catastrophic damage from Sea Rim State Park, Texas, to Intracoastal City, Louisiana, including Calcasieu and Sabine Lakes. This surge could penetrate up to 30 miles inland from the immediate coastline.
