well (frank)ing Barry Trotz gave the text book politically correct answer, so AV should go pop him in the head |

I disagree.
I think judging the coaching staff while not knowing the facts of what lead to their decision is accusing them of acting sentimental. The reports at the time said that Lundqvist was looking the best out of the 3 of them, IIRC. I seriously doubt that would have been enough to start him over Shesty, but... - Tonybere
If Im dumb then you're an bumhole, why start Shesty who has a whopping 12 games of NHL experience over a guy who has "more wins than 99.7% of all people to play goal in the NHL could play above the level of a virtual rookie when heading into a win or go home situation"

If he does that would be fantastic that he would be ready, get what you are saying though. Kreider would make a 3rd line awesome . He figured out the d side of hockey over the last few years so I wouldn't worry about him matching up against other teams best lines. - mdw7413
I really think Kreider on the third line boosts our Cup prospects exponentially. I mean seriously, Kreider and Fast forechecking is literally a nightmare for teams. They would just need a capable center that can dish the puck and win faceoffs. Perfect third line, imo. |

see to me Danault would be perfect for that
I wouldnt want to acquire him for the top two lines, I like him as 3rd line center |

What I said was that you were playing dumb, not that you are dumb.
But, from this last statement, I'll go ahead and say your're an idiot. Either that or you are just trying to argue to be a jerk.
I'll break down my comment for you. Shesterkin is the #1 guy. But, he couldn't play. Do you remember that? So, now faced with the decision of playing a back up in a situation where just 3 losses end your season, should they go with the guy "trending in the right direction" or the guy who is currently stopping more pucks?
To further my original thought, I am of the opinion that Hank's 15 seasons and 130 playoff starts may have given him a level of comfort, focus and determination that allowed him to play at a higher level than the kid with 0 playoff experience.
The fact that either you didn't comprehend my point, or that you ignored it in order to post what you thought was a snappy comeback leave me feeling justified in my opinion of you. |

It really might be the best scenario though. It allows Chytil to grow into the 2C. That's why I'd rather go after a 2/3C with specific tangibles (faceoffs, defense, etc.) or just keep Strome for the short term. Chasing someone to play 2C long term seems like poor asset management.
Is ADA for Danault straight up realistic? MTL is no stranger to controversy. |

I really like Danault as a target, I just dont like us trading for a pending UFA, so I'd want an extension at time of deal |
