Thanks Carol. You might be right about JTM's hand. Though not sure if he did have a shot look and passed up on it.
I thought they changed him to be deployed for winger wins and since then have dominated on face off percentage. Perhaps, using his size and strength to box out on faceoffs more of a stratgey as Petey was doing okay on the draws.
Either way the Canucks are leading in face offs in this series. Bo won like 80% last game. |

Thanks Carol and thank you Allen Walsh.
Love that play by Miller bowling over the players.
Petey is awesome.

#Coyotes lack of early draft picks are not their only concern this off season.
We can also confirm a bonus overage of $393,902, bringing their projected cap to $80,383,902 (upper limit is 81.5M), with a roster of 17 (9F-6D-2G).
*Hossa is LTIR eligible with a cap hit of $5.275M.

Well done Carol!!
We dodged one with Petey not getting hit in the head with that Reilly cheap shot (late hit) Hopefully Jake holds him to account... |

Bo referenced them laughing in first game and how they shut them up by winning ... that tool was among the loudest laughing on the bench and in post game interviews. So nice to see him but hurt and lose it on SM.
I like this Canucks team they don't yap like cocky tools but bring it from Petey on down.
Next game will be another hard battle with VGK coming in waves. The Blues and Wild wars have given the Canucks a taste of the physicality needed.
But I like our chances better now that we're winning the mental game against the VGK. |

I was looking in CF at teams looking to move some cap this next season I found a few good deals .
As I said in the post above Hjalmarsson has one year left if you could get Arizona to keep half the salary in a trade for a third round draft pick. You would have Tanev Myers and Hammer as the right side.
Perron from the Blues has two more years left at 4 mil per . If Blues ate half the cap and you traded for a prospect like Rafferty .
Johnsson from the Leafs has a 3.4 cap hit 25 years old top 6 player for again I will use the name Rafferty to help the Leafs clear cap . Would probably need to throw in a pick. |

Can't see the bottom two happening. The Blues are in a win-now mode, why trade away one of their best forwards? As for Johnsson, I think TO chose between him and Kap to keep, and the Canucks have enough middle 6 forwards as is without taking on more $$.
Haven't seen Hjarmlsssonon play recently, last I heard he started to suck.
I think the Canucks need to target a younger RHD that can grow with the team. Will cost a little more (Jake) but it's a better long-term solution.

I have to say I am not too surprised at the way the team responded last night. Marky is the real deal and he showed he hates to lose. Green may not have a lot of NHL playoff experience but he has won a WHL championship and lost in the memorial cup final. He also took a Utica team to the AHL finals. He seems to have a good grasp of how to adjust to a team, making lineup changes to cause the opposition to adjust themselves. I haven't given him a lot of credit up until now but I like what he's done so far. Petey is just flat out a star who's been so good to this point and he's got a will to succeed we just don't get to see in young players. |

You got a good point there will be plenty of deals to make out there in this nuts of an off season. JB will want to keep this group together as they have bonded ahead of schedule. So he might make another rewarding the group trade, like he did with TT, and not shed roster except for LE of course. |

Carol Schram: Toffoli returns & Canucks level their series with a big team win vs. Vegas
After a beatdown in Game 1 against the Vegas Golden Knights, the Vancouver Canucks built off an early goal from Tyler Toffoli, freshly back in the lineup after an injury. The Canucks withstood all the pressure that Vegas could throw at them to come out with a 5-2 win and tie their best-of-seven series 1-1. - Carol Schram
Great recap, thanks Carol.
It is extremely likely we have seen the last of Eriksson unless another injury happens, what are your thoughts on where he plays next year, Utica or Vancouver.
All this mutually terminated contract speculation is a pipe dream, but we have seen Benning send guys to Utica in the past. |

Blues have 2 mil in space and that is without them signing AP . I don't think Blues will win again .
Toronto said they are not finished and sit at 7 mil in cap space.
I should have mentioned we would not try for all three just maybe one. If we sign Toffoli we are not looking at getting Johnsson. If we sign Jake we are not trading for Perron. Stech is having a good playoff so if Canucks resign him there is not going to be a Hammer trade.
I am just following up on Nuckers comment from yesterday having fun looking for bargain basement deals

So if LE gets waived as you agree then why would he want to stay in the AHL for 2 years? Leave the 1st class life for a few million after making 60+ in the NHL going on 36 years old. If he thinks he can play still pulling a Bagosian, after his bonus payout, is more logical an outcome. |

Bogo was unhappy and asked for a trade. LE has not. If he does maybe your unlikely story starts to make some sense. Thing is, there isn’t much indication he’s unhappy or that Green is going to stop playing him. |

1. Eriksson signed a contract.
2. Eriksson is a professional hockey player, the same for Sven Baertschi and Sam Gagner and he will live up to his commitment of the agreement.
3. I think you are discounting the remaining money of his contract because he has earned a great deal previously.
4. At 35 and a salary of 4mil in 2020-21 and 4 mil in 21-21 would be absolutely idiotic to walk away from.
5. He is not a quitter as he stated in an article with Kuzma.
There is no problem with player speculation but all these posts adamantly pushing MTA is a bit much.
His contract sucks and unless Benning packages a player with Eriksson he will remain a Canuck or Comet....IMO. |
