SN reporting games resuming Saturday. No schedule released yet but assuming that Canucks will play game 3 in the game 4 time slot.
Bo is on TV now the first one of the players to speak about the action to postpone. |

What? You talked to a few people on your social circle and are using that as a "women believe..." If anyone used a racist or homophobic term and said that thejr friends in that group had no problem with it, I bet you would consider it wrong. This is the same thing. That was my point. No other. So don't try to deflect.
You use your arguments when they suit your purpose and then dismiss others when they use the same.
That's hypocritical. Hide all you want with the finger pointing but you do more damage than you know to the causes you purportedly are trying to advance. - RealityChecker
Well actually talking to the people effected is different than saying “im not racist, i have a black friend”. Im sorry you don’t see the difference, but actually taking the time to listen to the effected group is much more meaningful than anything you’ve said or the point you’re trying to make. |

Ive got too much debt, need to work. I will show my solidarity in other ways and continue to be a vocal proponent of BLM - neem55
I see .So you believe in the cause as long as it doesn't interrupt your lifestyle.

You can agree or disagree with the action but this is leadership. |

In other words, you are a bigoted hypocrite. - Marwood
Yes, im a huge misogynist. Because i use the word broad and think that women ought to use that word if they want. And because i talk to women about which things are misogynistic. One of my many daily misogynistic moves. |

Maybe if they agree, they could also respond that the NHL are being used as pawns and being shamed into something that should be taken on as a North American crisis.
Every person that agrees with this movement should step up and refuse to work until racial injustice is dealt with, otherwise you are all hypocrites not willing to take the stance that the NHL is being shamed into.
And I'm not whining about postponed hockey games, I'm pointing out that everyone should stand by their convictions with action. - Nuckerwhatever

I believe in supporting the cause according to your means to do so. For example, if i was old and retired i might have more time/resources to meaningfully interact. For example. Also racism interrupts my daily life whether i want to be a part of it or not. Something you could never fathom. |

I like how Abby Johnson thinks. She believes in one home/one vote. Husband gets to make the decision regardless of what the wife thinks. She just spoke at the RNC convention to re-elect Trump.
Now that’s a broad who understands women! |

The NHL players are not old and retired so why do they have to stop working if you are not willing to back them up?

"I talked with my Aboriginal friends. They have no issues with the controversial team names. I don't see what the big deal is."
That person can say they were "actually taking the time to listen to the effected group," rather than the media.
See how it can go both ways? |

The end of your comment is pretty closed minded , racist and ignorant . I suggest if you want to stop racism then begin with yourself.
I also whave been surrounded and outnumbered twice in my life for no reason at all by people of a different race so screw you. |

What is the Canadian crazy group? Real women? They were big in the 90s.
Bizarre people out there. This thread is merely a reflection. |

this is simply too hilarious to pass up.
You were called out for using, what is considered to some, an offensive term. Your explanation is 1) it's not offensive to your generation; and 2) you can't be misogynist because you have female friends and they don't consider the term or you to be offensive.
That's literally the boomer excuse that you would laugh at. "I'm not being offensive by using the term _____ because it doesn't mean the same thing to people born in my generation. I'm not a ______ because I have (black, female, minority etc.) friends and we use that term all the time and they don't care!"
Thanks for the laugh Neem!

Actually, my female friends convinced me. Cause i actually get my understanding of things from more than one gender/ethnicity/ sexual orientation. My circle is very divverse. Much like this message.... oh right, never mind. |

So you weren’t born into privilege because you were born into a poor family, is that correct? - neem55
No. What I’m saying is that the question of equality in the US is complicated and is far more complex than just black and white.
Not too long ago if you were Irish Roman Catholic in the US you might as well have been dog poop. They are as white as you can get. Didn’t matter. You were vilified, distrusted, and hated. Where was their birthright privilege? |

whattt? athletes skipping work is a lot different than anyone here missing work. at most who notices when we are not there... like 50 people? athletes skipping games literally brings their message to millions of people in an instance. i get that people are annoyed that the games are not being played but saying we should all miss work for the cause is apples and oranges - johnnykarate
A message that will be forgotten in a week or at the start of the next game. Like I said earlier you want to send the politicians a message close grocery stores gas stations air travel and other transportation. That will have more of a message than 120 players missing a game.

I'm sure you attend. I'm sure the pictures of you attending are plastered all over your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
And if people don't see those pictures, I'm sure you let them know. 👍 |

You are assuming mine isn't which seems prejudicial. Like I said the other day, my female, LGBTQ, and first nations/people of colour friends all have self respect.
