the league itself just wants to continue to grow its business. they participate in pride activities and other events throughout the calendar year unrelated to the sport as a form of public outreach and imo i dont think they view this differently

the players i think are a mixed bag... i think some are legitimate about taking a stand while others are probably supporting out of some form of guilt and most probably dont care at all and view this as part of the job promoting the game

whattt? athletes skipping work is a lot different than anyone here missing work. at most who notices when we are not there... like 50 people? athletes skipping games literally brings their message to millions of people in an instance. i get that people are annoyed that the games are not being played but saying we should all miss work for the cause is apples and oranges

You'd have to zoom on the tattoo between the eyes to realize. That picture is misleading in so many ways. Like for one, wasn't Charlie out to kill the privileged guys like Trump? Or at least his delusional social cause message had that in there.

But its all part of societal issues that messages are mixed and managed that miss the mark all too often.

It’s funny because it’s so overly simplistic. If you honestly believe that one is simply born with privilege then you need to get yourself some school’in.

It’s not only the colour of ones skin that creates huge divides in the US, poverty is also a huge iniquity factor.

Do you see how the two topics are related? You said privilege is something your born with. I said bullpoop. Other factors apply, like poverty. Privilege is not bestowed on you because you are born to a particular culture or group. It’s more complex than that.

And I’m not going to get into a pissing match with you on who was born poorer. That’s fucking stupid.

This group of Canucks is really likable and tight on and off the ice. I think it shows in their play as well of how they responded to challenges.
