Absolutely. If he was in his 30’s I’d be more worried about the back to back workload.

While not the only one, JVR is still underwhelming to me. Hardly noticed him at all out there today. Given that's it's a back-to-back, would Laughton be reinserted into lineup? I still think overall he has performed better than JVR.

I give up on the Ghost versus Hagg debate. Still would like to see Braun get some needed rest, but I understand why he has more cash in the bank with AV.

Undoubtedly not a popular opinion here but I think they start Moose tomorrow. I think Hart is playing well but could use a day off. Bill mentioned it - that his second game in the back-to-back in the Montreal series was flat. We don't win if we don't have solid goaltending and I believe Moose is up to the task.

I would love to see Hart prove he can handle the workload, but I'm OK with Moose getting the start. It's not against the mindset of those expecting to go deep in the playoffs.

In a word. Yes. He made a lot of key saves today as well.

Yeah wtf with JVR...

If Laughton is healthy I think I put him with Pitlick and Grant. He seems like the type of player that gets firey after getting scratched.

JVR is legit doing NOTHING, or else I’d keep him in there. NAK fights so hard for the puck, but he had a couple of knucklehead moves recently.

I just hope everyone realizes, at this point, Thompson ain’t going anywhere

Nak overall hasn’t done much imo

Ya know. Not an unreasonable proposition, but I expect it’s hart. We need the next one and I think he will be fine. FYI. We’ve been better as the road team for some reason. Well take the next two.

I would disagree. NAK has hustled his ass off, thrown several big hits, and had good efforts to win board battles and get it to the point. JVR on the other hand is completely useless and terrible.

He’s made some gaffes but is definitely noticeable fighting for pucks in the offensive zone. He doin that 4th line poop.

Not anything Laughton can’t replicate, for sure.

I would go with moose as well. I think it would actually light a spark and the flyers would really play their asses off for him

NAK does hustle and he’s good making a controlled zone exit. Rarely gives the puck up in bad spots.

Laughton earned his night off but not sure if JVR showed any reason that he deserved to be there. Glad Couts got on the board. G is off but wins a crucial FO in OT. Hayes is streaky and hopefully this is a start of a good streak. Guess we'll be seeing Haag until we lose.

Johnston getting blown up by Niskanen was funny. He's a big boy though.

I think the Flyers carried the play as they can and should for the first half of the game. Then, they turned into a prevent defense mode trying to rid the clock out. That's not how they win playoffs. They have to get the snake wrapped up and trapped, then cut the head off. Play every shift like they are behind by a goal and the Isles never get back in this game. Let's hope they learned a lesson here,

I actually thought JVR played well today. More hustle out of him than I've seen in a long time.

Yup. Not like they just got done an 82 game grind to get into the post-season. Hart should just be getting warmed up.

Not to be wet blanket here, but I think it bears watching what the NBA decides to do moving forward. If MLB, MLS, WNBA, etc. continue to show solidarity, the optics would be very bad if the NHL opts to play out their season.

On another note, I’d play Hart tomorrow. If Flyers go up 2 games to 1, I think you give Moose the net for game 4.

Piling on is just the popular vote. I thought JvR played one of his better games tonight as well. Plus I don’t know what we should expect playing with Grant and Pitlick.

I agree. The problem with him specifically though is the bar is much higher for him than just hustling. Pitlick can get by on hustle. JVR needs to score. And yes, his linemates haven't helped. He looked good on the PP which is where he should be. I just don't see us getting many PP looks against a Trotz team.
