And there will be even more tonight if AV will just do some of this:

You know, at a glance, it looks like a mistake. But really, who hasn't fantasized about punching Ville Leino in the head every now and again? |

Piling on is just the popular vote. I thought JvR played one of his better games tonight as well. Plus I don’t know what we should expect playing with Grant and Pitlick. - SuperSchennBros
I agree that JvR did play one of his better games. Actually saw some NZ hustle and backchecking last night. It's not exactly a high bar, but it was at least better. Still needs to score out there, otherwise there are others who can do his job and more. |

While not the only one, JVR is still underwhelming to me. Hardly noticed him at all out there today. Given that's it's a back-to-back, would Laughton be reinserted into lineup? I still think overall he has performed better than JVR.
I give up on the Ghost versus Hagg debate. Still would like to see Braun get some needed rest, but I understand why he has more cash in the bank with AV. - Bendecko
Notice that we win more with Hagg in the line up that ass hat Ghost? I personally don't like ghost. I think Hagg bring some better size.

Some gambling sites have the series line, tied 1-1, currently at Isles -220 and Flyers +170. Thought that was pretty eye popping, isles have been good but they are not flat out dominating and the series is tied. |

Hagg played over Ghost yesterday. The Flyers won yesterday. Therefore, the Flyers are always better with Hagg than Ghost.
Yesterday was Wednesday. The weather was nice yesterday. Therefore, the weather will always be nice on Wednesday.

Well, Leino got paid so well by Buffalo that if you hit him just right, I'd expect coins will start pouring out of his orifices like a slot machine dispensing a winning combo.

Well, to clarify, I still think Braun should get a game off and Ghost come in for him, thus Hagg will still play.

I would disagree. NAK has hustled his ass off, thrown several big hits, and had good efforts to win board battles and get it to the point. JVR on the other hand is completely useless and terrible. - Richieattack18
I agree with this. If/ when he loses the puck he skates his rear off to retrieve it. |

I do t go on all the analytic sites and what not. But question. What is the teams record this year with Haag bs ghost in the lineup? Playoffs are a grind. And while ghost has played better as he is trying to keep his spot in the lineup, he is still not playing at the level in which people want him too. It comes down to keep him in to maybe help drive some offense but but lacks in his own end or a more stable defender that doesn’t provide as much offense. And this year that defender has provided similar offensive numbers. |

In my opinion the problem with the third line isn’t JvR playing every other night but Derek Grant playing every night. He’s a fourth line center playing on the third line, who has lost momentum since having a career season. If Claude Giroux can’t make Grant better, who can? JvR is a guy who needs to drive to the net and have talent feed him. Am I the only one who doesn’t expect Grant and Pitlick to be these players? If JvR plays with Coots and Jake, you probably see a difference player, not that I’m asking for this. |

Not to be wet blanket here, but I think it bears watching what the NBA decides to do moving forward. If MLB, MLS, WNBA, etc. continue to show solidarity, the optics would be very bad if the NHL opts to play out their season.
On another note, I’d play Hart tomorrow. If Flyers go up 2 games to 1, I think you give Moose the net for game 4. - BroadSTmayhem

I wouldn't be mad if they started Elliott tonight. Hart has obviously been great, but I'm sure he could use a night off on a back-to-back, especially considering how he played in the second game of the back-to-back in the 1st round. Elliott is a great goalie and I have no reason to think he can't handle what the Islanders bring to the table for one game.
Also, I like the team better when Hagg is in the lineup. You know what you're getting game-to-game with him. He might not be the skilled offensive-defenseman that Ghost is, but he keeps thing a lot more stable on the back end. We have enough guys that can jump up in the play if need be. |

I thought JVR had good game and was noticeable on both ends at times. In the 2nd and 3rd he came very close to netting a goal. And then I believe late in the 3rd he had a strong back check covering for Myers or Sanheim (they pinched) and ultimately Broke/prevented a speedy 3 on 2 advantage for the isles. |

I honestly don't know their record with each, and I'm honestly not inclined to dig deep enough to find out. I do know that Ghost required knee surgery all year long (and last year as well) which limited his mobility.
I just hate the "We won yesterday without Ghost, so we're better without Ghost." A few years ago, there was a report published that stated that the team had a better record when Giroux played fewer minutes, correlating that Giroux playing more made the team worse. The real reason was that, when Giroux scored more points, the team had more goals, leading to being able to more evenly spread minutes as opposed to shortening the bench and increasing his usage. That's my point. |

Well, who would you play as 3C/4C in place of Grant? Laughton isn't a realistic option as a C at this point. Giroux has been used almost exclusively at LW. Raffl is a winger. |

The optics would be bad. Whether or not you find what's going on to be right or wrong, if EVERY OTHER sports league protests except for the NHL, the optics will be bad. |

I also would put Laughts in and See how he responds. Hoping we get the round robin Laughton. |
