in 2019 ~1000 people were killed by police in the US. 77% of them were not black (although, in 20% of the cases the race was documented as "unknown")

To be honest, I have started this trend of providing detailed responses not so much to convince these guys (biases are emotionally satisfying) but to do my own bit in what I see is the race to the lowest denominator in the social media where I participate anyway.

1. Why are you normalizing by a whole population and not by killed/ police interaction of the population? Would you count whale sharks in the shark killer species?
2. My second point was not about "black people are more armed than white". It was not about racial disparity at all. It was more to the point of potentially excessive force and police policies and procedures.

Let's finish it here and return to hockey.

If you are saying that normalizing should occur also taking into account frequency of such armed encounters which were not deadly, I agree of course, but that data is not available.

As for condescension, 1. If it existed, you deserve it with your initial post 2. Get over it and address substance and 3. None was deliberately intended, so I am sorry it seeped into post. 👍
