Beagle is awful. - Marwood
Right. Maybe you'd prefer we were TO and had all of our bottom 10 making less than 1 mil per. They seem to be going places...
Did TO make the 2nd round of the PO's with that roster? |

It was just reported that boeser lost his cousin yesterday so that no doubt affected his game play. I thought he actually had a good game. Many of the core guys had little mistakes here and there - Codes1087
OH wow crappy. Best to the Boeser family. |

This Canucks team in for another learning curve. As its the first time in the middle of a series they are trailing and being closer to elimination adds more pressure.
Execution failed Canucks tonight for sure and Green did confirm that post game.
Lehner mentions Rousell post game as inspiration after blanking Canucks again. Does VGK go to MAF now or play the hot hand in back to back? - NuckUp
The whole Roussell agitator thing needs to go away it's not working. Much in the way the Kesler/Burrows crap never did. Focus on Hockey and their game. Even Bieksa mentioned it on the SN panel. Lehner is playing lights out this PO's much like Marky has stolen games for us. Hrudey mentioned also yesterday on the SN panel that he was concerned about the massive amount of shot's Marky has been taking and it sure showed last night. |

Stop the chirping before the game, just get in his face during the game. Make your presence known that way.
The Canucks need to be directing way more shots at goal and crashing the net. Lehner is a big body but he's not the most agile goalie. |

100% correct. Rousell would be much more effective that way like gm 2 just focus on playing tough, hard nosed hockey without the sideshow. |

They were getting him moving laterally the game before. That worked but Vegas shut the lanes down well last night.
Roussel should put a puck or 2 in the net before he opens his mouth again. |

Think you'll see a lot of GMs just let them pick a guy now. It will be a competitive team, but not Vegas level. - NewYorkNuck
Yeah, I think a big part of what made Vegas so successful was having a plethora of draft picks and prospects to be able to make trades like Stone and Patches. |

If your LIIT is too sweet you’re making it wrong.

For $650MM Bettman sold Vegas not just a franchise, but one guaranteed to be an immediate championship contender. He gave them so much leverage over the other clubs that McPhee was able to accumulate a larger base of assets than any other rebuilding team could ever hope to achieve.
I think this strategy will ultimately end up being a bad business decision. Vegas fans have not suffered through their team's growing pains so they won't have the same level of attachment as most sports franchises. Once other major sports teams move into that market, they won't have the loyal base of hockey fans they need to survive, and Vegas will eventually become just like Phoenix. |

I don't fully agree with that. He gave them a much better start than every other franchise – and rightfully so, the other ones sucked goat balls. Maybe gave them a little too much, but giving them the same as the other expansion franchises just because that's what they got would have been a huge mistake for a team entering a new/huge market.
However, he just had it so that they could pick one player from each team. He didn't make teams trade away picks and other players to protect someone. McPhee exploited that, and robbed a whole bunch of teams of some very good players and picks that he used to make his team better. If every GM just let him pick a player, they wouldn't be as good as they are now. |

The big difference between Vegas and woeful past expansion franchises was the salary cap. That constraint and the reduced number of protections is what created the extraordinary leverage McPhee had over most of the other teams.
If GM's thought they were in or entering their contending window, they had to make deals to avoid disrupting rosters they had taken years to build. No surprise they parted with the future to stay competitive now and keep their jobs. |

I disagree, stupid GM’s made stupid decisions. They should have simply protected the players they most wanted to, and let Vegas take a player, but instead they gave them all kinds of extras that has come back to bite them in the ass. Remember, Vegas had basically Spizza, Gaunce or Richard Bachman to choose from. And sure, pizza played ok for that season, but come on. |

I never said it was a “good” drink, only that it shouldn’t be sweet. He probably made it with a bottle of pre mix booze, with mostly Coke. |
