Only 8 teams make the playoffs. Gotta have to go through 3 of them to get out of the West at some point.

In a couple of years, I don't see Vegas as being as good as they are right now. And the likelihood that Seattle is as good as them out of the gate is slim. Competitive, but not contenders. Think you're making a whole lot of noise about something that isn't there yet.

The expansion Ducks won a Cup. They and Sharks beat down on Canucks for years who's competitiveness pushed LA to the mix. They take more Cups when Sedins were still in their window. Then before that teams relocated like the Avs that dominated and even Yotes added to beat down on Canucks for a while.

You can't control other teams and what the league is doing. Just take care of your team with good development and management and let the chips fall where they may.
