18-25 year old me feels personally attacked! if you disparage crown royal, sh!t's gonna get soup-discussion level intense. - RealityChecker
I (frank)ing hate Crown Royal. Rye, yes, all day long. Crown Royal is like Molson Canadian...
Winky face.
One time me and some buds hit San Fran for an impromptu weekend. Went into a bar called Tar & Feathers, dared the bartender to promo us the half bottle of Crown on the back bar if we finished the whole bottle behind it. Challenge accepted, free crown for four skinny Canadian kids |

Perfectly reasonable amount for his quality of play tbh. This cap situation really sucks. - NorthNuck
Why would he take less, when the team hands out $12m to a couple of 8 min/night guys who are “good in the room”? |

Different world now but I agree 6M is in line with what he deserves. I'm more concerned with term 6x3 I would do. |

Yes, it is a different world, but people who think players will sign deeply discounted contracts because of COVID are on crack. They will sign the same contracts everyone else already has, and then they will be discounted the same as everyone else, based on actual revenue. We likely won’t see the kind of inflationary contracts that we would have expected based on the cap going up, but guys won’t take a double discount.
I have no issue signing Markstrom to a longer deal. Just don’t give him trade protection. He’s probably got 3 more years of peak Marky, and then a couple or three more years of pre-peak Marky. Maybe you can lower the AAV by going six years instead of three and front load the money a bit to make him more trade able later. |

Go cheer for the Leafs where their bottom 10 makes 800K each...
Did they make the 2nd round?
Oh wait...

The top end guys will still get paid but I think the $2-4M guys are going to get squeezed out. Which is a shame because it would be really nice to sign cheap depth players for once. |

You are either going to have to do some fact checking before opening your fat mouth, or change your narrative, because you just sound stupid when you say stuff like this:
Johansson $3.4m
Kerfoot $3.5m
Robertson ELC
Clifford $800k (didn’t he win a cup or two with the Kings?)
Engvall ELC
Spezza $700k
That’s two guys on ELC, two FA “experienced” signings and two guys considerably over the $800k mark. Pretty sure that’s not their problem. |

Guys are definitely going lose jobs. I’m not saying teams will pay stupid money, just that the guys who are in demand will get compensated fairly compared to their peers.
Pretty sure you won’t have to pay $3m for a 4th liner any time soon though. |

“Jake will not be a Canuck (most likely) next year. Inside knowledge he has already asked to be moved...and Benning oblige due to cap issues...likely to happen after RFA re-signing. Similar scenario to Kapanen deal to Penguins.”
“The request was made before playoffs. The intel is from someone very close to Jake. Source is legit, but that assumes the intel is accurate. Time will tell what really happens.”
Guy says he has information Jake asked to be moved before the playoffs started. So probably happen this summer. |

Once again the case that Vantel is actually Jim Benning strengthens. He’s been calling this for months. |

Can't say I blame him, can't say I hate to see him go. Hopefully he gets packaged for a good RHD, maybe with one of Juolevi or Rafferty as there's too many LHD for the team. |

I'm glad everyone's worrying about contracts after we win the cup. (unless you guys think we are already toast) Naaaaaaaaaaaaa.
If we did exit early, which we won't (I'll explain in a sec.) The value could be haggled down. Chokers go brokers.
But we will win tonight.
I didn't watch the game last nite.
Bill and Ted Face the Music
(quickie review. Fun! but weird. Not a huge effects budget, and you can tell. If you are a Bill and Ted fan, its a must watch)
Sounds like I didn't have anything to wooooo about anyways.
I'll be watching tonight
Wearing Canucks underpants
and Canuck socks
In Canuck PJ pants
With a Johnny Canuck Tee shirt
My Official NHL Canuck Orca C Jersey
With my Canucks Cape
and Canucks Cup (filled with pepsi slurpee)
I haven't even figured out what war song to post........
With this super luck vortex I have created, will be sent to Canucks and Travis Green via my psychoic powers......The team will come out on fire today.
We can't lose.! |

I never said they have their poop together, only that it isn’t four forwards making bank and then 10 guys under a million.
The Penguins have money spread around their forward ranks and they lost to the Habs, a team that shouldn’t have been here in the first place. Carolina lost, the Blues lost. Nobody is saying that the Canucks should have scrubs, but if a team has to pay more for the same thing as everyone else that is a clear indication that you shouldn’t do that thing.
But you aren’t smart enough to comprehend this, so you will probably just make another Gaunce reference, add a lol and a winky face and then tell us how humongous you are.

JB didn't want to trade futures on this rebuild for bottom six stability. But knew the top young talent needed some help while they developed into solid NHL players. Now they are ahead of schedule its glaring with those contracts.
Though this flat cap thing and Luongo recapture penalty threw a monkey wrench into the plans. Why JB has to push someone out...you know who... LE... waive goodbye. |

That sounds like too much Canucks stuff. If we lose I will blame your PJ pants, that’s not winning gear. My Canucks T isn’t good luck, I never wear it on game days. - 1970vintage
So its your fault.......I thought it was me.....for not watching the game.
Having lycanthropy (mystical creature and all) manipulation of the fates is in my wheel house. But because of my disability (just my head transforms into a werewolf), my luck manipulation is weaker......but all the extra luck charms, provides a super boost.
I'm gonna feel it tomorrow, but this is a rare thing. Luck objects are usually displayed, engaging with them and focusing power is tough.
But for you guys......anything.....to keep the conversation going. |

135?
I’m 178 and 6’-0”. Probably heavier now because of covid seclusion and age, too afraid to look.
Plus I made the Caesars. Neighbour made the LIIT. Didn’t ask how they were made, just said thanks and drank them. I’m not overly picky when someone offers me a drink. |

Piss poor management saying they didn't expect it. That alone should have had Benning fired. |
