I think a player like Torres is more valuable for the nucks, need a guy that the other team needs to be aware of. A designated goon doesn't do anything but play into Reeves plan.

I wish we had a player or two that were attacking Stone, Patches, Theodore each and every shift.

I don't think anyone has mentioned having a goon, most want a valuable heavyweight like a Reaves or Byfuglien or a Tom Wilson, guys who can actually play the game.
These guys are valuable, which is why a Barclay Goodrow got the Sharks a 1st round pick from Tampa, as did Reaves a couple years back from the Penguins.

I know, but my point is that I think it is a lame #narrative just as it was in 2011. Being outmuscled isn't why the knights are outplaying the Canucks.

It's not the only reason, no, but it's a part of it. Hughes getting heavily rubbed out in the corner led directly to the goal. Guys are pulling up or dishing a puck quickly so to not get run. Their heaviness on the forecheck is leading to a lot more turnovers than our fly-by forecheck. It all adds up, and there seems to me to be a lack of fight in the Canucks right now (mentally).

Vegas is also just more mature too. Our best players are 20-23 vs. 25-30.

And I mean physically more mature.

Reaves, the way to shut him up is score and be ahead in the game while he sits on the bench with nothing to do.

I agree though, every team needs that one guy who might, just might do something crazy. Like a Dorset, torres, Shawn Thornton, or whoever.

I'd say Toffoli hanging back and hooking Reeves all the way down the ice while an outnumbered chance unfolded had more to do with it that the Reeves on Hughes hit at the other end. Hughes and Reeves were both out of the play. Toffoli put himself out of the play. Stephenson was all alone for the goal.

Canucks dont have anyone to deal with Reeves and he certainly wasnt going to take the bait from Toffoli while his team is on an odd man rush.

True. Its unfortunate but I felt from day one that Ferland's health would be wishful thinking.

He was cleared to play . I haven't seen Bo using his weight to hit some people same with Jake.

I have Vegas going to the Cup so I keep in mind we are playing with house money and make the adjustments in the off season

I would say it was another poorly timed pinch by the young defenseman

Keep it simple: fast pucks out of the zone, forecheck, shots and rebounds

Bo is too busy leading the playoffs in goals.

...and he scores again to tie it.

I always viewed Brashear as a goon, which is what I was referring too. Reaves is a new age goon but still one IMO. It's not like he's peak Lucic.

Reeves, Buff, Wilson....one of these things don't belong.

They have been dishing out all over the ice and cashed in on the even up goal.

I guy who can actually play, that hits, has some offense and defensive skills is a goon because he also can fight?
I call that a very valuable addition to a hockey team.
