I think the EP and QH signings are overblown . A GM would need to be a total idiot not to have a plan to sign his two best players. Like Laine and Connor deals our two will come in with a bridge deal around 7.5 mil . QH can not be offer sheeted and has no arbitration rights. He will get Edlers 6 mil plus his salary on ELC and bonuses and be fine.

It's only the Leafs that offer 11 mil to their players on their second contracts

I don’t think management or coaching believes it’s an acceptable risk, given Demko hasn’t played many meaningful minutes in several months...it’s Markstrom’s net come hell or high water imo.

I suspect only one more game for the season anyway.

i think the back end of the back to back is game 7... so that would be the game in question.
