Botchford died of a street drug overdose. Talk about narrative busters.... he wasnt the person you guys and the media framed him as.

I was never a fan. When he passed I made one comment. "I feel for his family". I say it again. This must make it even more difficult for them. Being abandoned for drugs... It's a horrible thing for kids to experience.

He may like Van for giving him tens of millions but his home is in Dallas. So once waived he'll prefer to leave, voila MTA, to keep playing in the NHL to end his career.

JB tried to trade LE all season. Now with flat cap the cost is too great. Ergo that leaves one option waive and... ta da....MTA.

That's another whole other season away and the cap issue for Canuck UFA signings will need to be addressed this off season.

As far as deals for the those Squids they'll be getting 1st or 2nds just to pick other old players like OSHIE"S and NEALS. Guys with with high cap that can score and get points. LE at best is a PK specialist but with a cap hit of a top 6. So his dump will now cost a ransom: like a roster player, high draft pick and prospect; compared to what will be on the trade market.

That's why there is only one way.... you know what to say ... eh... waive and ...
