I remember when Giroux used to carry the puck around the zone, making moves, getting teams confused.

Now he just gets the pass, and passes it away. Doesn't carry the mail, doesn't make things happen, doesn't impose his will on the game.

Failed clears have been killing us all series.

Last night I counted nine failed clears in a row on one offensive sequence of the Islanders.

It's starting to remind me of Mike Richards. Not that they play a similar game but that they were never the 'fastest' players and once they lost that 1/2 step they could never do what made them effective anymore.

From my perspective. I’m just frustrated at their poor play. They can’t sustain this or this’ll be 3 1 down. We can’t generate any offense and the pp is terrible.
