They can’t contain the isles speed. They pressure the d and get the puck in our zone. We just end up watching them.

When Isles get the puck they go right up the middle with speed and its almost always extended zone time and something looks like it is about to happen.

When Flyers get the puck, its a meaningless dump in, everyone is covered, there is some mucking around the perimeter, a hopeful fling towards the goal, Isles get bored and off we race back towards the other side.

I loved young Brian Elliott. Ottawa and St Louis Elliott. I’ve never given Elliott the credit he deserves since being here and I was wrong. I still would have preferred Cam Talbot though.

Strangely enough a lot of talking heads point to the loss of Adam Pelech this x-mas as a big reason they struggled this year. He's back and healthy and apparently it's balanced things out for them. I don't know much about the guy other than the fact that he's "steady" but apparently he's the straw that stirs the defense on the isles.

I think the shellacking he got in the playoffs with the Flames a few years back really soured people on his abilities but frank... the Flames are a sh!tshow in the playoffs.

This is why watching what we have this series is frustrating because we aren’t playing to our normal level. Making uncharacteristic mistakes, bad passing, and failing to clear pucks. Not to discredit the isles, they’re really good. But we could be playing so much better
