With the decline of Giroux, JVR being an anchor, and a few other bad contracts, they aren't close to competing for a Cup imo. They have Hart and that is the foundation building for it, but the young defenseman have maturing to do. They just don't have enough players up front you can count on putting the puck in the net.

Goal and defense not problem with philly. Problem is fraud 13 games no goals Giroux. And shouldn’t be in league Jvr. 15 useless million on cap.

There are a lot of good team in the East, and other young teams Rangers, Devils, getting better. Rags adding Lafreniere is a big boost. The Flyers are no lock to make the playoffs next year.

Is Gotsihbere, I know that’s spelled wrong, out for any particular reason? I know I watch a fraction of Flyers games you probably do but when I’ve watched during regular season games, he’s been pretty good.
