Dump jake just to get rid of that contract. He isn’t part of the solution.
Sell high on Laughton as well as don’t want to resign and overpay him.
Clode Jvr jake ghost is a lot of diminishing returns |

Clode ain’t going anywhere unless he asks to be traded. So any trade scenario involving him is silly. Massive changes are needed up front. - login
That’s really not how NMCs work. If they tell him they don’t want him he’s not going to want to stay. The NMC lets him have a say in where he ends up. |

AV intends to grind out wins in this series, hence Hagg in for Ghost.
I sure would have preferred Ghost on that one-timer in the high slot that Hagg shanked. - Tomahawk

He can but that’s not likely lol
They’ll ask him for a list of teams and they’ll work with what he gives them. |

G hasn't been wowing anybody, but he's not the reason they're down 3-1.
The Isles play as a 5-man unit and they're disciplined enough to keep that going most of the time. They're on their 2nd year under Trotz and everything they do is second nature to them by now.
Meanwhile, the Flyers only manage to be on the same page for 10-15mins per game. Their collective focus and confidence wanes. Their puck management discipline often goes out the window. The kids show their inexperience too often. And all the vets have been slow coming out of the gate, except for maybe Jake.
Getting rid of G solves very very little. They just need more time under AV to come together. - Tomahawk
All of those are reasons for sure but to say that Giroux is not a big reason why they're down 3-1, is simply not accurate. He's been bad. That simple.

What a brutal 3rd period by Niskanen. Yea, when you're down, you want to take some chances but you have to do it smartly. Really poor decisions on his part. He's been a major disappointment in the playoffs. |

pavelski is 36 and has 7 goals how many more excuses will we make for giroux - 2Real
Poorovov looks like a tractor compared to Heiskanen. Already a HOF by the homer Canadien press if he was Canadien.

So true. The Isles finish seemingly all of there prime chances and the Flyers don't seem to finish any. The Flyers are losing because Giroux, Konecny, Farabee and JVR simply cannot score. This despite having multiple prime looks. If they finished even a couple of the prime chances they've had this series would be at least 2-2.
Tough to win when you have to give up 1 goal or fewer to do it. |

So you think after what 13 years they are going to tell him we don’t want you anymore?
I myself do not believe that happens in anyway |

People need to accept that he is a complimentary player at this point. He has to be better obviously he ain’t carrying the team any longer on any consistent basis
Trade ghost and Niskanen ...sign AP as get thay hammer on the back end !!
Imo the flyers have movable contracts so I don’t think they are in a terrible spot |

First of all some people need to realize what a complimentary player is. Examples on the Flyers would be Scott Laughton. Claude Giroux is counted on to be a top line scoring forward. If he's a complimentary player, than the Flyers are in a really bad spot.

He got caught on the second goal and then was totally lost on the third goal. He was also caught out of position many times in the Habs series. Just brutal for a veteran defenseman.

You're correct, it was tied on his first mistake. That's just not playoff hockey. The Isles have been taking advantage of Flyers mistakes all series. While the Isles make the Flyers work for everything.

Play Ghost? Sure why not, better late than never. But if I’m Ghost, the moment the season ends, I’m having my agent call Fletcher to ask for a trade. I can’t imagine that he’d ever want to play for AV again. |
