So true. The Isles finish seemingly all of there prime chances and the Flyers don't seem to finish any. The Flyers are losing because Giroux, Konecny, Farabee and JVR simply cannot score. This despite having multiple prime looks. If they finished even a couple of the prime chances they've had this series would be at least 2-2.
Tough to win when you have to give up 1 goal or fewer to do it. - mickel25
Just curious how 19-year-old rookie Farabaee gets lumped in there.

I lumped him in because he has failed to score on a few really good looks. He also plays regular minutes on the second line and has seen time on PP1. Those players need to produce.
I am not saying he should be relied upon to lead the team offensively. I also don't think it is too much to ask for a professional hockey player to score when given multiple good looks.

Gostisbehere has had some injuries that have clearly hampered him. Reports are that he's finally stronger and has looked stronger. Maybe he can get his game back but he can't do that if he doesn't play. He should be playing. - MJL
another blind ghost defender. he's not that good! open your eyes!
And so did Mario and etc. obviously you select the generational player as example. 99.9% shouldn’t be in league that young. - SMS4016
And to further it the draft age needs to be raised. Way to much hit or miss with 17 -18 year olds. Raise draft age to 20. Helps the minor leagues and % of not whiffing on picks goes way up. For example if draft age was 20 no way Nolan and nico top 2 picks in their draft year.
this will be jake's final season with the team - black_francis
Although it thought they’d put up a better fight vs the isles we still have a good young core to build around. I expected that we’d get by the isles in 7 and then lose to Tampa or Boston. We’re simply not contenders yet.
Unfortunately, I think that this has exposed the older core quite clearly unless there are injuries at play that I don’t know about.
It might very well be jakes last season. He and g make too much to do so little in t playoffs. Don’t think they can move g but Jake maybe. I can’t remember if he’s also got a nmc.

So how many years should a player play in Junior hockey?
If Patrick and Hischeir had remained in junior hockey longer, their stock would have dropped as players? So as they got physically more mature and playing against younger players, they would've gotten worse as players?
What. He scored a couple nice offside goals. Be patient. Just a kid and a pretty good player already. - Peter Richards
Yea that’s fine but if you have a chance on the door step it needs to go in, just like our top guys need to score. No excuses because he’s young , he needs to finish. Chances have been few and far between.
I tweeted this video yesterday as the Flyers were heading out for the pre-game warmups. You might enjoy seeing the emotion as Oskar Lindblom got ready to come out with the team:
Probably better now than to try to move him later.
They definitely need to clear some of these overpaid guys once their season ends.
I would say JVR is a must move.
Ghost is a must if you aren’t going to play him.
And ideally one of Jake or Giroux.
That gives them plenty of room to address their needs via FA and trade. - hereticpride
Premature to discuss the off season. There will be plenty of time for that but we saw where trades and free agency has taken them this year. The cap is flat and will likely stay flat. Why not shed some cap space if you can and keep drafting and developing. Or as Dave Scott would like, continue to be a cap team and we can relive the Holmgren era again of having good teams but ultimately coming up short.
