That's not true. Both Farabee and Frost have the potential to be impact forwards. They're also missing Lindblom and Patrick from the lineup.
- MJL

I am not counting on the latter 2 as top risky

I disagree on the other 2. Good players yes not goin got carry you; time will tell. Even if they are when will that be? 3-4 years?

Boychuck was on the 3rd Pair and can play if ready to go but Green has stepped in nicely and Boychuck has been a healthy scratch ever since.

Good luck tonight boys, should be a good one.

Good luck. Not sure about it being a good one. Of the flyers don’t Get their heads out of their asses could be a blowout and series over.

Both Frost and Farabee have the potential to be first line NHL players. Farabee sooner than Frost.

My thing with couturier is they will be paying for past performance. He has tremendous value imo and can get a haul. Signing him for 8 years at age 29 will hurt this team down the line as he has heavy miles. I know it’s blasphemy to talk about trading him though it’s the best option. Unless the gm goes ball to the wall moves frost picks and others to go for it in the next 2 years

Giroux won’t be moved unless he wants to as I think we can all agree on that

I dump jake for what you can. It would just be silly to return all 3

Jvr ghost yes they can probably be moved but they are not the big issue.

Between the two of g and jake. Jake will be the better player moving forward imo. Due to his size skating And injury history. Not saying I want to trade g. But takes a certain team to take him. Either a young team that has plenty of cap space as your getting prospects back ( which there are only a few). The only other team I could see are those in rebuilds. Like Montreal. Then same thing. Your either taking maybe a problem or picks/prospects. If a team is close would be an interesting gamble for their 3rd line. Like the avs or Edmonton.

Also potential to not be first line players. Don’t think either will be a star though.

Sure, first line would be top end but even if both wind up 2nd line level NHL players, they would still be impact forwards.

Can’t we stop it with the newborn poop? That’s some WIP level bullpoop.

Is it that hard to admit that G just isn’t the same player anymore?

Except You are basing that off one bad season. He had 85 points last year. Clearly something has him distracted and not 100% focused on hockey

He has not been that impressive in the playoffs for several years. Regular season stats are out the window once playoffs begin.

What is his PPG ratio in the playoffs the last 3 seasons? He has scored 1 goal in the last 24 playoff games.

Or he’s injured. Or he’s lost a step.

All I’m saying is this “he’s distracted” argument is a weak excuse to ignore the fact that he’s just not the same player he used to be. Players get older. It happens.

He doesnt score goals often. His Assists are more than double his goals, His stats rely on his linemates to score and PP which has been atrocious. Playoffs are also a small sample size considering this is the first time we got past round 1 since 2012

His and others’ lack of production are why they haven’t been getting past the first round. His assists are down too last few post seasons.

You're making unfounded excuses. He has not produced in the playoffs recently, including this year. Can you tell me which playoff game this season in which Giroux was among the best players on the ice? Giroux has regularly been a 20+ goal scorer in the NHL. Scoring one goal in 24 games equates to less 3.5 goals scored in an NHL season. If you think this is about sample size, you're misguided. Giroux has not played well. It's really that simple.

Let me know when it happens as don’t see it in the next 2 years; in the meantime your core 3 are not getting any better and aging. They haven’t got it done as a group ever. Y

I think it's wrong to discount the extremes of this season. The stoppage, being in the bubble, isolated from the outside world and his family. Shouldn't be used as an excuse but also can't be discounted as a cause.

Do you recall the statement back in the season, when Fletcher was asked about Farabee? I think he had like 3 goals at the time. Fletcher said, I bet he doesn't have 3 goals this time next season. I could see Farabee being a 20 goal forward next season.

20+ goal score in 82 games. Thats around 24% of his games. This year No one is producing. Clearly something is up that is bigger than Giroux. Where has Couturier been, where has Konecny been, Where has JVR been, where has Voracek been? Whats their excuse? Did they lose a step too?

Isles are an excellent defensive team. They are the better team and they have outworked the entire team. Not just Giroux.

3 in his last 30. Not something you want from a player with a 8 and half mil cap hit the next two years.
