Yes. I couldn't even hold my first born for over a year because of a back injury at work making 40k a year.
Barely see them at all anymore with the hours I've been working and baby #4 is 10 days away from being here.
I'd take their salary in a heartbeat if I just had to miss 3 months. |

Can somebody share the status of NoPa? Next week is Sept, I thought he should be ready for new season, he could be fresh and make a difference.
Giroux and Voracek need to sit. It is that simple.
They do not contribute at all and are just taking a spot, especially on PP.
Let's gamble and put young guns there. Frost, Lindblom and NoPa. You play already for new season and experience for those guys. If prior games were close I would say differently. But the current roster has no business to be in bubble anymore. It is embarrassing at times. They look like juniors playing pros. |

Try looking at his recent playoff stats. You can see the drop off. - funmaster18
Once Giroux became the team leader after Briere left, Girouxs production dropped like a sack of rocks. |

20+ goal score in 82 games. Thats around 24% of his games. This year No one is producing. Clearly something is up that is bigger than Giroux. Where has Couturier been, where has Konecny been, Where has JVR been, where has Voracek been? Whats their excuse? Did they lose a step too?
Isles are an excellent defensive team. They are the better team and they have outworked the entire team. Not just Giroux. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
So who should be stepping up and leading the team on the ice? Other players aren't producing so Giroux gets a pass? Most teams in the playoffs are good defensively. Doesn't change anything. Giroux has not played well in the playoffs.

I suffer from a condition very similar to his. Everytime I played hockey or exercise too hard I developed devastating migraines. Been ongoing for 16 years now.
Unless he plans on playing through the migraines or dealing with migraines after the games, he wont play another game. |

So you think that Patrick after not playing the entire season is now going to step into the playoffs and make a difference? Why throw Lindblom into this coming off of cancer? Frost was a border line NHL player during the regular season. Do you honestly believe that any NHL coach would scratch Giroux and Voracek now?

I beg your unbelievable pardon? While I agree they need to produce, you can’t sit them. |

The 6th place team in the Metro is better than the 2nd place team?
How do you figure? You taking the 13 game bubble sample, over the 65-70 game regular season sample? - PLindbergh31
No I take the fact that the isles matchup better and beat the flyers. Rather handily in the playoffs. The one game they lost they came back from a three goal deficit.
I don’t see the flyers coming back from a three goal deficit against the isles. |

I agree guys, emotions took over I guess, But I would definitely demote them both to 3rd line.
I remember LeClair and Recchi playing on 3rd line with Handzus, and they were still productive, hell some games they were considered the top line.
Maybe it can work this time too.

Both Frost and Farabee are in the NHL now. I think Farabee solidifies a top 9 spot next season and has a good chance to be a 15-20 goal 40 point player. The following year, he could take an even bigger step. Frost will most likely be a part time player early and progress as the year goes on. Definitely a full time player the next year. Both have potential to be impact forwards in 1-2 years. Lindblom, if he can get stronger and back in shape, was a two way forechecking forward scoring at a 30 goal pace. Obviously there are some question marks there but I believe he will be even more determined and come back better than ever. Patrick, I don't know but he has the talent to be an impact player.

Banking on a lot going right. So your the gm you take that chance? Or do you trade some of those guys for already proven players to help your “core” go for it while you have Giroux and Sean under contract the next 2 years? Or do you look to move any of them?
I guess you can stand pat though I think the results will be the same |

Hart hasn’t looked great in back to backs but more often than not he’s our best player on the ice. Hopefully this is the right call. |
