I had received some Christmas money from an aunt in 1984.
I went to the record store ( remember those? ) and had a choice of buying Thunder Seven or Judas Priest Screaming For Vengeance. I couldn't afford both but after a long internal debate, I went with the Hellion because the purchase included a free cool poster for my wall.
Always liked Rush better, but Triumph was a solid, yet under-rated band. Problem is though, listening to them today, the music didn't age very well. They sound very dated. Rush STILL ROCKS! - TommyGTrain
Tough Choice!! My brother loved Priest, so I bought one and he the other!
I see you point about Triumph not aging as well. It was more Anthem Rock to Rush's Prog Rock.
I have seen Rik Emmett twice in the last 5 years. He has played acoustic shows at a smaller-ish theatre here in Niagara. Simply amazing. Changed the key of the higher tunes to fit his 66 year old voice. But, man what a great use of $35!!!!
If the Isles win 1 more game I'm guaranteed $200 since my fantasy hockey pool converted to a playoff draft. If the winner of the ECF wins the Cup I get $400. Add that in with our #1 overall pick and this playoffs is working out pretty well for me

Max Domi hired the same agent as Mitch Marner
don't know what they means really, other than Domi will want a crazy contract - jimbro83
lol just realized the agent that (frank)ed over the Habs with the Aho offer sheet is the same one that (frank)ed them with the Carey Price contract too

I gave $10 to someone, not sure who yet, but definitely not winning this year.

yeah that's definitely a penalty
the Barzal thing is tough because it was technically a follow through, and then the Martin trip in overtime was a blatant dive
but I thought that the goaltender interference call was tough and could have gone either way
but, the Flyers stay alive like the Rangers did vs the Caps 5 years ago when McDonagh scored in overtime
it isn't usually pretty, but AV teams often just find a way - jimbro83
Well, the ref did scold Hart.
Have no issue with the Barzal call because it was a follow through. Unfortunate play, but from what I've read he should be OK.
Flyers had that game locked up until the AV Shell was deployed, should have called the time out after the 2nd Isles goal. I just don't think AV has that killer instinct.
Isles never quit once they got back into it, be that Trotz or team mentality, AV's teams don't quite seem to have that.

there were so many playoff wins in 2014 and 2015 where I was left shaking at the end thinking "I cant believe we just won that game"

Can't call that on Hart in OT, the trip was legit and could have led to a direct scoring chance
I dont think that's subjective though, that play by Hart is equivalent of flipping puck over glass - jimbro83
More like the goalie playing the puck in the trapezoid. Hart just went out there, snagged a dump-in and stopped play. That's a blatant penalty and should absolutely be called.

yeah I just mean you aren't allowed to let a puck over the glass go because of the circumstances of the game and that play by Hart is the same kind of moment as a puck over the glass
