Good chance Tampa leaves a very good player exposed for expansion, probably one of the more expensive ones. I'm thinking one of Palat/Johnson/Killorn. That'll afford them some breathing room after next season.
But they're going to have to get real creative to make room to get Cirelli signed. I don't think Sergachev is going to cost a ton, but they may ultimately have to move him because Cirelli is a much bigger priority. I think they'll find a way to get it done though. - eichiefs9
I don't think they can. Unless I'm incorrect they all have a NTC and must be protected. If I am those guys I'm not waiving my clause to go there either because it's a high chance of being selected. |

You don't have to protect NTC's, only full NMC's. The only players that they "have to" protect (not that they wouldn't have anyway) are Kucherov, Hedman, and Vasilevsky |

They'll be tight this year getting Cirelli and Sergachev under contract, but they can probably afford to dump some spare parts to make enough room. They have some very good players in the minors that can step in. Barre-Boulet and Volkov are two that come to mind and I know there's another one or two in there. They can probably recoup some future assets if they want to move Coleman (he's under contract dirt-cheap for another year) as well.
Dumping off guys like Paquette and Goodrow and buying out the last year of Coburn would probably net them enough savings to get Cirelli and Sergachev done.
All of this, of course, assumes that they can't convince Palat/Gourde/Johnson/Killorn to waive their NTC if they can work out a deal with the right team. |

when it comes to guys like Kucherov or Eichel or Draisatl, those kind of stars, we aren't acquiring them without giving up the first overall pick
that's it, we never are going to get guys like this with a package of 5 guys we don't want. |

And there's no reason to trade for a guy like that because we get one for free in a couple of weeks |

Cause he is a smarmy douchnozzle who never gives any other team credit. He also looks like he works for the IRS |

I mean I wouldn't say "I like him", but I just never saw him as someone that anyone really disliked. I guess I don't pay much attention to other coaches unless they really say something outlandish that gets them significant media coverage |
