With a shortened season they could allow teams to change bubbles, if said teams were bubble wrapped.
The bigger issue IMO is family/friend time. Do those contacts have to test negative for an amount of consecutive days before they can see the players? Then how many days afterwards before play can resume?
The NFL is being a little more lax with their standards but they're testing like mad. Holding people out sometimes only a day or two and others over a week. They're probably onto something.
Despite having 80 players at camp for each team (plus guys that are cut and tryout with another team) they've still had very few cases recently. |

Nothing would be more costly or damaging than cancelling the season. - Nighthawk
I think there will be a very short hub season followed by another hub playoffs.

Yes, I didn't think they could pull it off but they did, and did a good job of it but I think the playoff tournament thingy is completely different than a full season whether it is condensed or not. And it's not over yet. If teams are not staying stationary in one city and travelling back and forth to their home city from one hub city, it is quite different and the NHL loses control of the players movement. Players will be at home with their kids who have returned to school. Their spouse who have been to the grocery store, beer store and butcher. Look what has happened in Canada since restrictions have been relaxed, the numbers continue to climb. Anyway, I don't want teams coming to Canada from the US unless they quarantine for 14 days like everyone else has to. - Marwood
The 14 day quarantine is the basis for my saying Canada is best to be hub cities.
VANTEL speaks of MLB & I think it’s outright disgusting in every way it came to be. The NFL is taking it to the highest level of moronic. |

"I will not be shocked if it's Demko in net. And if he starts, that's a mammoth opportunity. And not just for Demko, but for the organization to get a sense of if he can be a big-game goalie, on a huge stage against a superior opponent"

A big game goalie? Last we saw he couldnt handle filling in for Marky in "small games". Have to win those before you make it to big games.

I envision the season will be in 4 parts. Inter-division & Inter-Conference then cross conference then another Inter-Division with a break in between each. From there it could get pared down. |

Shortened season could look like this...
16 cross conference games play once.
16 inter division play twice.
24 inter divisional games. Play 3-4 games
Totalling 56 games |

If Marky out & Demko in it’s one more test for this team. Sooner or later it had to happen.
Win or lose it’s the process that matters. |

Sucks that he's out. Wonder if he's becoming injury-prone? Seems to be a thing... |

Why?
Because some stadiums are allowing some fans?
They're required to wear masks and they're filling to 20% capacity at most and enforcing social distancing.
The issue with MLB has been the players themselves if i'm not mistaken. Going to bars and such. That poop won't fly with NFL coaches. However, I will grant that a losing team will be harder to keep a handle on. Then again, if a vaccine is available these guys will have access to it among the first. |

Fishing season will be in full swing. Ask me then. If you had a boat with you, it would make it a date.

Large rosters & the travel & fans signing a waiver all of it. If a vaccine is available an entirely different story. |

lol that's actually a good point. I did have a Tampa/EDM final in my pool but that didn't work out for the Oil. Might be 50% correct
Maybe I should have went Tampa/Van? - LordHumungous
