What defenseman could they add that might be able to improve that? - MJL
Shattenkirk. |

For tonight's game.

My bad didn’t see this. But offseason if he doesn’t resign with Tampa. I’d be interested when if Braun does not return. Don’t think he will. |

Shattenkirk. - Peter Richards
That was one hell of a trade for St. Louis.
Oh, and Chris Stewart. |

I think I’ve checked out on this series. We haven’t been Leaps and bounds greater than our opponents since the round robin. I’ll always watch but there is nothing worse than watching your team get outworked by a less talented team, all because we can’t connect a pass or force a pass through the enemy’s legs, just for it to be picked off.
I feel like Raffl has been a spark plug but he vanished. I feel like even with his shortcomings, JvR is finally being used right but too little too late. I can’t help but feel if G shows up, we’d be a different team. |

So you don't like Gostisbehere because you don't like his play in his own end but want them to go after Shattenkirk?

Anyone see these “big boy pants” quotes from AV? First he said G and JVR need to put theirs on, then this:
"He (Nate Thompson) was a veteran player and established. I need him. He’s been wearing his big boy pants and I need him to continue to wear his big boy pants. We’ve got some experience." - arichardson22
Yeah, kinda hackneyed if you ask me. Very reminiscent of Hakstol's proclamation to his Flyers team at the time to "sack up". Well all know how that turned out. Just desperate and sad really. Your the coach, be stoic god damnit. |

There's no need for me to look back. I know what the conversation is about. The issue you're having is that you want to isolate the conversation to just you. You insinuated that the reasoning for not playing Frost and to not play Gostisbehere are similar. They're not for the reasons given in the conversation. If you don't or can't get that, not my problem. I sleep just fine, thanks. How about you? - MJL
Lmao. Right over your head.

Agreed. Shattenkirk was never good at his best, and he hasn't gotten any better as his whole game has regressed since going to Washington. |

After Couts scored last game they came alive and really started taking play to the Islanders. I hope we see that team for three periods tonight. Forecheck, force neutral zone turnovers and counter attack. They haven’t done it with any consistency but they’ve shown it in spurts.
I think they need patience tonight. If they force it, they play right to the Islanders. But play with energy and structure. They have a good enough team to win. Hart could steal a game. I’m not ready to give up on them, they have shown resilience all year. |

Broadcast team really hammering this Giroux 1 goal in 26 games. But how many assists does he have in that span? They’re making it seem like he’s pointless. Don’t get me wrong, he needs to score but acting like he contributes nothing |

No he is not what he was. Same age I take shatty. Right now in our situation. If ghost is traded I would hope for a young guy or winger in return. Shattenkirk then goes to third line on our team. His numbers and play weren’t terrible this year and has been more consistent then ghost. All I would want is two years which is similar to what ghost has. Time for York zamula and maybe one other to develope. He isn’t breaking the bank either and would prob want to play with a contender. Yes my faith is lost for ghost. All speculation for what would have to happen. And why trade him now when his stock is way down.
If our third pair next year is Haag and ghost. So be it. And basically they are very similar players. Still prefer the one who hits better |

9 assists in that stretch. Which is not nearly good enough. .38 ppg. Not going to get it done. |

Who are some of the better players around the league at risk to be taken by Seattle? |

Don’t be petty now. It’s my preference. Can’t stand the way ghost plays when it gets physical. I think he is easily scared and easy to bully on the ice. |

Hard to predict the protected lists of each team. I was looking at Seattle mock draft on cap friendly, they project their draft. Pretty interesting. |

Unrelated, but man I wish we somehow got Mark Stone. Would be a fantastic compliment/addition to this core. |

He's a great player. I spent 4 months in Ottawa in 2015 and went to a dozen Sens game and couldn't believe how good he is. Plays all situations.... tenacious on the PK. |
