it was done to stop coaches being frivolous with reviews. like that one. Not sure what AV was looking at there. It was clear as day that Czikas tripped over Braun's stick and there was nothing he could do to get out of the way. - Elbows15
I understand but why can't they just do it in the booth without a coaches challenge, isn't it really just about getting the call right. Take something so simple and (frank) it all up |

You sure worry about Wirtz' money an awful lot. What has he done since taking over the Hawks that money is a main concern of Rocky? Every year their expenditure has exceeded the cap limit. You do know that buy outs actually cost less money, right? - Elbows15
That was when the revenues were high and increasing - and even then he was complaining about “losing money”.
Buying a player out doesn’t save cash - it provides you space to sign another player - so spending to the cap on current roster plus the buyout money.
The Rocky apple is certainly sweeter than the $Bill variety, but I don’t think it fell as far from the Wirtz tree as some. |

Buyouts do save cash. Its for 2/3rd the remaining cash value. He wasn't complaining about losing money as much as he was highlighting what a financial mess the Hawks were when he took over. If I am mistaken, please post a link to a recent article. Something in the last 3-4 years.
He does business COMPLETELY different than his father, Sage. |

If it’s Maatta (as an example, using the Capfriendly calculator - and if I’ve calculated it correctly, which may be in question) - if they get back to the cap after buying him out, they would be spending about $600,000 more over 4 years (including the extra years of cap hit). Less than I thought.
And I don’t have any citings but on more than one occasion, I recall him complaining about the franchise losing money even with record revenues at the time - I thought at the time he was talking cash flow, which may have been negative because of repaying the loans from the other Wirtz businesses.
We’ll see - I’d still be surprised if there were buyouts. |

Yeah - he practices that.
Flyers have had some chances - but the Trotz-ky-ites don’t allow them very much time and space in any zone. |

I just noticed VGKs PP1 doesn't really have anyone set up for one-timer. Their right and left side are right and left handed respectively. |

As an MBA in Finance I would be remiss if I did not point out the true cost of buying a player out is the cost it takes to buy that player PLUS the cost of the replacement player. Now if you really want to get technical, you must Net Present Value both scenarios. |

Kahun is RFA. What will his next contract be for? Will Buffalo offer him $2 mil per year for 2 or 3 years? Less? More? Should the Hawks offer $2mil per year and give up a 3rd round pick?

Poetic Justice happening right before your eyes
You have to start MAF in game 7
How much money has the Geico Walrus lost since he was negotiating with the Hawks on a long term deal??
(Though, I guess I wonder if that was really true) |
