NHL rulebook explicitly states an official can wag his finger at a young player and say, "Don't let me catch you doing that again mister or else"

Isles couldn't get it deep or out if their zone and when you give a team zone time they will score eventually - Upstate_isles
You see that Hart glove behind the net non call? Am I wrong, is that a non call or is it a missed call? |

In the nhl its not a high stick on a follow through on a shot - Upstate_isles
I know, but it looked like a separate move of the stick. Shoot and then turn. I'll have to watch again.

Whelp, they better rally and get it together, because the Flyers aren't going away silently. |

Its a penalty, hes below goalline and body is out of the crease, he could have dropped it and played it too |

Yes. The non-call is infuriating but the Isles played like crap for most of the game. They were coughing up the puck all night.
Hopefully Barzal is okay. I am sure Trotz will give them hell. I hope to see a better team on Thursday. |

Early indications are Mat Barzal’s doing well; no issue with his eye.

100% it’s a (frank)ing penalty. WTF is the ref doing there? |

This seems to be a fuzzy area as I recall Nelson getting called earlier this year on a follow-through high stick and thought 'that's not supposed to be a penalty'. - keaner17
I remember that also |

Let it go already. We clearly saw the ref wave his finger at Hart.

Well, on the positive side, I'm sure the next time Mayfield fires the puck over the glass, the refs will forgive and forget |

I get it with the non-call, I’d be pissed too. I also did not like the Martin penalty, too soft for an overtime game. Looked better in real time then replay, like when Hagg broke his stick on the ice and never even touched an Islander leading to a huge powerplay goal in Game 3. The Flyers have had 8 powerplays in 5 games. That’s it. The Isles had 4 powerplays to 2 tonight. A lot has been missed or ignored this series.
That said, everything has gone the Isles way. Bounces, posts, puck luck, you know all the things a team that wins the Cup gets, in addition to hard work, skill, and determination. The Flyers have absolutely been the better team the last few games and yet they can’t keep a lead or hold the Islanders down. That’s why they won’t come back; the Islanders have that “special” feeling right now. And while Flyers fans have suffered with not winning in forever, Isles fans are right there with us. |

The bottom line on the call or non-call, is that the Islanders did not match the desperation level of the Flyers until the last 4 minutes of the game. The fact that they have comeback twice too at least tie the game is huge. It shows no quit.
The isles have to match the intensity of Philly next game and dictate the play. What we have now is a series. LGI. |
