The funny thing is, Domi is a decent player in a 3rd line role, but at his correct cap hit, not what hell likely get.

He has a 72 point season under his belt just last year. Not sure you can call him a 3rd line player. He got put in a lesser role this year and that's why he's not returning. But I think he's a top 6 player who's entering his prime.

The guy should get an extra 2 for spitting his chicklets on the ice too.

He did last year and he played very well. Seems like recency bias. He's 25. This year doesn't make him a bottom 6 player permanently.

Look what we got for our 3rd line winger who will now be top 6 in Pittsburgh. His career high is 44 points.

I mean Jeff Skinner makes 9M per year and scored 14 goals last year, so gotta easily be 9.5M per year....right???

The weird thing about Domi is that he was acquired as a winger, moved to centre by lack of options, performed well and now he doesn't want to play the wing again or at least completely sucks at wing while being unable to come close to his first season's results at centre (would barely have gotten 50 points in a full season this year).

Guy has talent, but it feels like he needs a very specific setting to be successful.
