Think the guy backtracked on it and said that it's not that he asked for a trade, just that if one presents itself, he wouldn't be against it.

You’d think Dubas has access to JFresh cards. He must not have looked at Barries

I think the sweet spot for the Leafs is finding a goalie making/willing to sign for 2 or 3 years at 4 million or less.

That'll let them add 4-5 million dollar defenseman and probably get Hyman re-upped next summer.

Any goalie making more than 4 million means bigger sacrifices then just a Johnsson/Kerfoot and a Dermott.

- The Law

finding a quality goalie that can play with barely any defensive help in front of him for under 4m.
Should be easy no?

No?

I like building them, as much as playing them. I find it very cool to see what you just put together, and how it sounds

Worst homer announcer in SPORTS

100% agree.

But that's also why, when it's not the Leafs facing Boston, I love listening to him. It's so bad and biased and over the top that it's great entertainment to me. The guy should legit not have a job, though.

I like listening to Carolina and Red Wing broadcasts for similar reasons. Tripp Tracey and Mickey Redmond are morons and they make me laugh.

i think they need to go cheaper on G to make enough room for a decent D

but Dubas doesnt have the luxery of being wrong again. no room for error

If Leafs fans are wondering why some players don't want to play here, look no further than today's narrative that Dubas was stupid to trade Hutchinson.

Oh, FFS.

One franking game.

- Atomic Wedgie

I don't think there was a "narrative". Hutchinson sucks. But, he sucked more behind the Leafs D.

Play D in front of most and they’re fine.

Leafs gave up over 1000 more shots 5v5 in the last 3 years then the Bruins.

- Garnie

If the Canucks keep winning they'll be the fly in your ointment. They are not suppressing shots ....those are (frank)ing hot goalies.

The point of finding that goalie is to be able to fix the defense, no?

It would be nice if the leafs could draft and develop a goalie. Who was the last somewhat decent goalie the leafs drafted and developed? Reimer?

It’s amazing how every other team seems to be able to do it.

I said it every game he played last year with the leafs. He sucked, and didn’t win one game this year.

I'm thinking they might be better off moving Andersson, Dermott and Johnsson for prospects and picks.

Then sign one of those 4-5 milly UFA dmen. Brodie or Tanev or whatever.

Then flip picks/prospects for the young affordable goalie ...Korpisalo or Georgiev?

Sign an old 4th liner or two with silvery nutsack hair and bob's ur uncle.

Cheaper in net better not mean not as good in net no matter how good your defence is. I’d rather have a good goalie and ok D than the other way around

They are playing the best team in the league or close to it, I don’t see them getting by Vegas even with God in nets.

Ya, I think it depends on the details. I think cheaper guys under control like Korpisalo and Georgiev (and maybe Murray) are what everybody is thinking.

poopty UFA cheap is not the way to go.
