Interesting question. Picture Nick Foligno is in front of the leaf net and cross-checking and spearing Freddie, Marincin who is 6'5" would give him a huggie poo and blow a few kisses. If Pesce were defending that situation, Foligno would be face first on the ice with a glove mark on his cheek and a stick mark near his kidneys before he could count to two.

Yeah, he's better than Marincin (who isn't?) but he's not particularly mean or imposing for a 6'3 defender. Solid, doesn't make a whole lot of mistakes, positionally sound... but decidedly not sexy.
