The Stars sure leave the slot open a lot for a good defensive team
Also. Does Makar ever come off the ice? - Elbows15
Each one of the 8 goals came with many skaters at the net - deflections, rebounds....
Think maybe other teams should learn from that? |

This one isn't going to last long in OT - Elbows15
Crazy game. The Avs score and DAL answers 10 seconds later. Death isn't an option so do you have a team you want to advance?
I'm going Stars. I hate them less though the reasons probably aren't really coherent. |

Guess the Stars. I pretty much hate every team left. So its a matter of degrees at this point. |

Yeah I think that's still my favorite of the three. 2010 was amazing and breaking the drought was like the weight of the world lifted off my Hawk fandom shoulders...can only imagine what it felt like for the Hawks organization.
But 2013, that finish was even crazier because there was more of an exclamation point or bit of finality that accompanied it vs the uncertainty of Kane's Cup winner having to be reviewed.
Beating the Nucks along the way in '10 was satisfying but beating the Wings in '13 and coming back from 3-1 was amazing! - HawkintheD
Each was special - 2010 first in 49 years, 2013 17=seconds....
The third was my favorite. Darling in relief against Nashville, coming back in games 5 and 6 against Anaheim, the defensive struggle against TB (no 2-goal lead for either team until 5 minutes left in the series). A tournament they willed themselves to win. |

Colorado.
At least it snows in Denver (although they get a lot of ice in Dallas).
I never support any hockey team playing where they don’t have winter. |

Minor league recall with 11career NHL games scores last two goals against an average at best back up. Dallas has a descent chance to advance all the way to Cup final. |

Thought about that one too and it definitely has a place in the conversation for the reasons you mention.
Darling spelled Crow for the majority of that NSH series but Corey took it the rest of the way. That and Keith being an absolute machine are the only things that prevented CC from being Conn Smith that year.
That said, I think Keith had to be a unanimous choice for the CS. He was awesome from start to finish. |

Theo fantastic article you wrote. Imo the coin phrase you explained in detail is spot on.
Imo Chicago was riding high after 3 cups 5 western conference finals and many years of playoff hockey. The front office who chose to reward these guys with nmc and huge salaries never thought things would end so quickly for many reasons, health, age , bad luck and simply each player being taxed from so much hockey played.
This scatter shot approach with plugging in reclaims ( nylander , strome , slater ) with a fresh face behind the bench seems like a bridge or bandaid to mask the real problems Chicago is facing , stagnant salary cap with a few bad unmovable contracts on aging players , a core who's best days seem to be well behind then and a young group with high Hope's but not enough promise to assure everyone those needs are corrected and a lack of enough high draft picks to replenish their farm team with enough talent to compete .
This being a deep draft so I've heard would you move out some key players like a saad or strome or even cat to gain more high picks to inject plenty of future assets? - Taylorst1
Been saying it for months now, Saad going away means $6m coming back trading him for picks ship has sailed. That goes for any other higher $ player as well. |

Fleury not playing? How is Vegas going to be able to get rid of him and his $7 mil. NTC for 2 more years. |

I agree, i thought that went without saying that all of them were special but the 17 seconds was i guess what i meant to say was the most thrilling

The Knights are going back to Lehner tonight, I thought Fleury would have started.

Ottawa needs a goalie. Fleury’s actually salary is $6.5 and $6.0 million. I could see the Sens going after Quick, $5.8 million cap hit for 3 more years with a salary of $3.5, $3 and $2.5. |

Demko has been impressive. |
|
|
|
Have to admit i like how Demko doesn't get down early and stands to follow the puck with net front presence |
|
|
|
11 shots to 2, sounds like a Blackhawks game |

I'm with you on '13 being the most thrilling. I think everyone has their own favorite but they are certainly all special. Like LA alluded to, having to go 49 years without.
Like you I didn't have to endure the entire 49...more like 39. |
