Fun series, future looks positive. In terms of the bottom six and defence, hope the team promotes from within over the off season.
Ideally they sign Marky and are able to protect Demko...although it is unlikely Marky signs without expansion protection - CoolerHeads

Saying vegas had an advantage outside of just flat out being better is stupid. Canucks were bad tonight, not much else to say, better team won - Codes1087
Canucks were bad for this series ...they were lucky it made it 5 let alone 7
At least now you can argue all off season about demko v marky |

Yes we didn't score but it still sucks the game was decided on a pretty questionable call on Miller. Should have let them play it out. But hey... so proud of this club and where they are heading. - LordHumungous
The Canucks didn’t show up for 3 games in a row .....3 ..... one questionable call is not the point here lol |

Disagree. Giving Markstrom $$$ + starts ahead of Demko is definitely a mistake. - DrChristianTroy
Over reacting to 3 games could be a mistake too ....but I do think the smartest think the Canucks can do is keep building and not think they are there already |

Major learning experience for all involved. Witnessing development as we speak. Many great things ahead. - LordHumungous
They will be the darlings of Sportsnet and TSN now ...just like the leafs, oilers, jets, and flames were in the last few years
Just goes to show being a true cup contender is tough |

Are there Demko haters, he’s pretty damn good, I question the teams toughness and ability to do anything other than collapse and chase.
Absolutely fantastic skills but they can’t play with the big tough teams with 15 shots for and 45 against...Demko was a beast, and Markstrom in the series before, but I like Demko a wee bit better. |

Come on Red, no need to be trolling so soon after 3 hard paced series, you know how it feels......oh wait, you don’t know, Flames were embarrassed really, really early in these playoffs. |

Minny StL & VGK all defensively sound & physical teams & we held our own. We didn’t match them but we showed we can skate & score enough. Would be curious how we woulda done against Dallas. Lastly how we’d fair against another offensive team like the AV’s. I’d like to see that type of match up in next seasons PO’s. |

Outplayed or not it took a perfect Theodore snipe. Agree or disagree matters not when it was a sliver of a game that could’ve gone either way.
What we did learn was they never quit even when faced with adversity. Qualities that will serve them well in many ways. |

Too convenient to single out a point in time of a game. I hearya but if it was OT then I’d cede to that point of view. |

This is very true he will want protection. Going to be interesting, but both have value so they have some tough decisions to make that are a nice luxury. Im honestly unsure, marky has been so stellar. Demko just showed something that cant be ignored. Kinda good problems if you ask me. |

Ya they poop the bed tomight Demko held them in until the 3rd, they had opportunity but got dominated for three periods. |

The Canucks were outclassed the majority of the series and clearly the better team won but full props to the team for a great playoff run. Some really good pieces are in place and Green appears to be a coach who pushes the right buttons to get the most out of his team. Good year Canucks. |

I didn't backread the comments , why would anyone
It was a fun run and I think we learnt a lot.
It is easy to build a regular season team but it is damn hard to build a playoff team. I think of the top guys Petey Bo Brock JTM had a very good run and TBH that is the best news going forward. QH had a great first playoff and I thought so did Myers.
Edler and Tanev were their usual workhorse self.
Two players that elevated their game and showed they can handle the playoffs were Stecher and Motte.I look at them differently now and if they do come back as a Canuck that would be just fine for me.
Demko just knocked Markstroms salary down by 2 mil a year. That was quite the surprise and leaves many wondering who will get the bulk of the games next year. That was Carter Hart like goal tending.
I was not overly impressed with Toffoli Pearsons Roussel and Jakes playoff . I think if they had a bigger impact it would have been different.
Contract talks this year are going to be very interesting. |

I'm not disputing the fact they have been outplayed but a chicken-sh!t call at the 6 min mark of period 3 was no shocker with Gary's boys at the helm lol |

You won't need to back read...MorningWood will be here soon to give us all his expert opinion on all world matters. lol
Toffoli/Pearson was off for sure. If Green may have kept them together all PO's may have been different chemistry hard to say.
Can see Jake being trade bait out with one of the 'sh!tty' contracts lol
How do we protect Demko from the expansion draft now?
I'm ok with Stecher/Motte as well. Tech seems to get more confident as PO's raged on. Good depth dman for maybe a longer run someday.
When healthy, Edler/Tanev impressed. Would still like to move on from Edler obviously but Tanev sure had a good PO's. Can he stay healthy long term?
Very interesting times ahead. |

If you knew Demko could bring that type of game consitently he would be your guy. Younger cheaper and doesn't have a history of groin pulls. We just wittnessed some remarakable goal tending.
Looking forward to seeing OJ this year hopefully one day we thank Eddie and put his number in the rafters.
I think not only interesting but fun times. I am one of the few that think that Jim has done a very good job. As the contracts run out the new guys look ready to step in. People can say what they want but they were one game away from the final 4 and to me that is a hell of a good job. |
