He looked slow. Missed some golden opportunities. He won't be worth the money nor the term. He's passed his prime (which Benning loves). - Marwood
Re-signing Toffoli would be a compounding mistake that Benning is prone to, hopefully he lets him walk. Slow and expensive |

He scores goals, he's a good fit. He just came off a foot injury ffs. Go twist one.

When? After the faceoffs? He doesn't take any faceoffs. - NewYorkNuck
Listen...he plays center with Stephenson and he plays right wing, who (frank)en cares, he’s a good player and that was the point, someone like Tuch, same attributes. |
|
|
|
Unfortunately, I think for next year we are stuck with one of Sutter or Beagle. Can't see them both being shipped off in one offseason. - NewYorkNuck
I think both will be here but Sutter goes on IR in regular season as history shows

Tuch's a great player, there aren't many players like him around, let alone centers, so not sure how you're planning on poaching one from a team. |

Yup, that would be consistent with his other awful moves. Let's hope he has learned his lesson. There must be someone younger, faster with more upside available. |

I think a little more speed and a lot more grit is something they need to focus on. They needed a guy like Ferland but what can you do. |

The same way Vegas poached him from Minnesota in the expansion draft after only playing six games for them. Do your homework, find someone. Vegas agreed to take Haula but they said we want Tuch included, Minnesota agreed...they knew |

Definitely need more grit, it’s really too bad Ferland couldn’t be healthy. |

The boys surprised and were incredible this year. Lots to build off of and still lots to improve on. I'll admit, I was wrong about demko. You can't keep both goalies, so commit to one this offseason as you will lose one in the expansion. Trade markys rights while they are inflated and make demko your franchise goalie. Trade virtanen, re-sign motte, leivo, toffoli, macewen, Tanev. Let stecher go and let this last year have some of the rafferties/macewens/juolevis fight out for some spots. Also, podkolzin is available late March! Despite the performance of the Vegas series, this team has incredible core pieces, its a good time to be a nucks fan, and will be an even better time when some of the aging vets and their contracts expire |

Ferland is a contract Benning should be looking to get rid of . You can never predict injury but even when he gets healthy he is still going to be a high risk.
If they bought him out they get 2 mil in cap space back this year and almost 3 mil next year.
That sucks because I have always been a fan of his. |

The guy should retire. Like you, I love his game and what he brings, but man do I just want to see him succeed and be healthy after hockey. At what point is the money worth it if you can't enjoy your days after hockey cause of all the concussions. Hope ferly gets healthy first and foremost. |

If you knew Demko could bring that type of game consitently he would be your guy. Younger cheaper and doesn't have a history of groin pulls. We just wittnessed some remarakable goal tending.
Looking forward to seeing OJ this year hopefully one day we thank Eddie and put his number in the rafters.
I think not only interesting but fun times. I am one of the few that think that Jim has done a very good job. As the contracts run out the new guys look ready to step in. People can say what they want but they were one game away from the final 4 and to me that is a hell of a good job. - VANTEL
I still think he should be an assistant gm where one of his main duties is scouting and or have an assitant gm deal with ufa signings and have the final decision not necessarily on who to go after but how much and how long we sign them for. Its a huge weakness but he definately has an rye for talent |

He wont retire . If he does he will get nothing. His injuries are hockey related so he will be paid as he doesn't play. Like workman's comp. He earned it.

They completely ran out of gas.
Vegas played 3 easy play in games, 5 against a young and light Chicago team, then 7 against a light Vancouver team.
Van played 4 against a solid Minny team, 6 against a heavy St Lou team, and then 7 against the heavy fast Knights on a back-to-back.
That's just a lot of wear.
Still don't know why the league didn't push this game back one day. I'm sure we would have seen a much much better effort. - NewYorkNuck
The wild are far from solid. Blues played like crap the entire series. You took Vegas to it in game 7, after being down in the series 3-1. Good job. |

Oh I know he won't retire, and its the same reason LE won't "MTA" lol. These guys want to get paid, and they signed a contract to get paid. Money aside though, for ferland anyway, I just hope he can recover |

They signed him with a history of concussions. Not very smart. |

Add in trading Sutter/Beagle and LE's contract and this is heading in the right direction.
Still not 100% sold on Toffoli – I like what he brings but if he's going to decline over his contract, maybe it's better to have Hoglander or Podk to take over that top 6 role? |

Id agree with the sutter/beagle contracts as the vet ones I am excited to expire. After this series id lump edler in that group as well. I also think that depth in the bottom 6 is one of the main reasons we were outplayed so bad by vegas. I think leivo would have been a very good addition to our bottom 6. |
