We need to get bigger on D. Also need a shooter back there that can get them through. Take some heat off of the forwards. Beyond Hughes there isn't enough offence from our D.
I also agree bottom 6 needs a makeover.
Top 6, at this point you need a winger that can play heavy and score. TT isn't that guy. If we sign him, we still need beef in our top 6.
That's a lot of changes in my mind as well. - Load Management
Are you walking away from Tanev? That is where the bulk of the money for D this cap will go to. I am okay if they do I am just trying to see who you like for 5 mil?

If Benning
If Green
If Jake

Actually he’s been one of the worst GM’s in our history, in terms of success, but I like your enthusiasm - Pacificgem
On the opposite end, Gillis in terms of success is the best, but he is actually pretty far from that as a GM |

I'm walking away from Stech before Tavev. I like the guy, but dressing 2 small D in your top 6 gets exposed in the heavy going. |

Yeah . I like Stech's effort and fight but he is small. Then again Tryamkin had a very good game today. |

If getting bigger on D is what JB wants all he has to do is sign Tree to come in mid season. They can trade Benn to make room for him. Until then OJ and Rathbone who are great puck movers will fight it out for a spot.Believe Rathbone has the better shot but OJ can PK and block shots which is better suited for 6D. |

I believe JB settles the UFA signings before the draft. If they don't take reasonable offers then he'll go the trade route for a couple top positions. Maybe gets signing rights compensation of low picks trading out the UFAs that don't want to be part of the plan.
As for top prospects, at best, one or two make the team, in the new season, in bottom roles and work their way up.
Cap space to sign everyone would be JB pushing out LE and convincing Ferland to stay on LTIR; for at least another season. If he really needs it a Sven buyout saves another $500K of cap from being in the minors. But sure he'll try waivers again and hope this time someone like Wings, Sens or Habs will take him for a season. |

I really do enjoy reading the comments on here and I respect most of them. I think it is really how you guys feel but I trust my own judgement first.
When Canucks finished in 3 from the bottom my prediction was they would finish 6 th the following year. They did.
The next year I predicted they would finish 10 th from the bottom they finished 9 th.
I predicted this year like most they would be a bubble team but would make the playoffs. They did.
I predicted the McCann Gudbradson trade months before it happened and nailed it.
I predicted the Sutter for Bonino trade months before and nailed it.
I predicted the Beagle Roussel signing
And last year before Trade Deadline I predicted they would sign Myers and make two trades and one of them would be a top 6 forward for our first round pick. I never predicted Toffoli name but he was the second trade.
No matter what people think of the moves I still got the guessing correct. This is why I trust what I think.
Next year top 10 is my prediction Roussel and Jake will be gone and so will our 2021 first round pick but Benning gets a 2020 first round pick back. - VANTEL
Get ready for the 65 point predictions!!
You, myself and few others have only been a few spots off in our predictions of where this club would finish in the standings, draft positions over the past 4 seasons or so.
There is no indication that this club will 'fall back' for next year. I'm not saying full top 10 like you but we will be up another 4-5 spots into the top 16.
There is no indication otherwise IMO. |

I’ve read a 65 game schedule next season, starting in December, is most likely. So a little less than this year. |
