Braun grant thompson Pitlick should not be resigned in any way shape or form.

After some more thinking as much as I liked Pitlick and thought his postseason was positive, Sandin and a few prospects are also righties. You’re correct, probably should not re-sign Pitlick.

Did you see the way the Caps played? They were never interested.

We will find out how good the Isles are in the next series. I especially am interested in seeing how they defend the TB forwards.

Stamos out i guess. Still plenty of highend guys to yardsale salaries, because of that low FL tax. That is a cap circumvention KILLER in these FLAT cap days.

I several doubt there will be big changes coming. Especially after a coach's first stint with a team in which he is a Jack Adams finalist.

I like him just need to give others a shot to see what you have. Guys like him can always be acquired. If not so many guys banging on the door I keep him

I seriously doubt AV coaches the team to blow coverages in the D zone.

Well, you wanted a long series. On observed merit, that's 3 games more than what it should have been.

- PT21

There is that silver lining I guess and there was some overtime thrown in, so hopefully the Isles will be tired.

I really wanted to see a Lightning-Flyers series. Now, I get boring-ass Islanders. Outside of Barzal, they are a snooze to watch. And no Gritty.

Flyers put up 16 shots, what’s that all about? They should have put up 16 in the 3rd period alone.

One possible thought:
Nolan Patrick. He has been out of sight, out of mind.

A resigned Patrick, who should come on the cheap since he missed this past season, could (big if there) be a big addition, not just physically with his size, but also his skill level. Add that to the forward mix and things suddenly get a bit better. Even if he is at the level of his first two seasons.

I very much want to see Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee moved into a more prominent role. If they can't move JVR, then bury him. You only get 900k relief to the cap, but you don't have to work around playing him. I think you can move Ghost, but I don't know to who.

There is a lot of good here. There are some gaps and there are some holes. The team played at times with great heart. As hard as it is to hang on to, that is really the big story from this season. On to the Draft.

Devils allowed only 6 shots! In their playoff win vs Leafs 2000. Darn they killed the big 88 that season.

I think maybe I’m a tad bit more disappointed than you. Good luck, hope you guys can score!

This wasn't his finest moment but he's the furthest from the list of problems for this team.

I was just shocked at the lack of adjustments. Appears to me he didn’t try to change anything

Agreed. Had we lost any of those games he had a challenge, maybe we have a different opinion. But this series doesn’t fall on him. Lack of effort and Constant failed cleared pucks and turnovers in our own zone. Those 3 things were our biggest gripes before AV coached us. Those 3 errors would come out in full force after just one goal under previous Coaches. I hope he can kiss his good pal Therrien goodbye.

Is lack of effort a reflection on coaching? Cleared puck and turnovers. Maybe you try new pairings or line combos no?

I think part of it was team chemistry. Look how often JVR and Ghost were scratched. I think there are also injuries not announced that were a factor within the lineup. This was AV’s first postseason with the Flyers. I think Fletcher needs to find a way to make a few changes this offseason.

Hopefully some of the youth really step up next season.

Stop with injuries as that is a crock to me. Give. The other team credit ; sometimes there isn’t am excuse and you just lose

This is a huge offseason for the gm imo.
